Something is breaking on the Iraqi front......Rummy has just ordered the U.S.S. George Washington and its carrier battle group back to the gulf....in the next 96 hours.

Sect. Rumsfeld just signed orders for elements of the USAF. All of those elements are typically used for heavy bombing type action or air superiority.
I didn't see anything about the F-16 or A-10. Those aircraft are (typically) used for Close Air Support roles working with ground troops. I suppose those will go later.

Just time for a quick ..."ditto"....
Saw it yesterday .....my husband, who is scant with praise for movies, said it was the best movie he had ever seen!
The symbolism is very evident.....the characters are developed well.....and Gollum....oh my goodness!!!!!!
I'm going again next week....hubby & I.
My computer animator son was so stunned.......was practically weeping, and hopes he can attain that grand a scale of animation someday.
A magnificent movie!

I wept myself during the scene where Gandalf in white, brandishing sword and riding a white steed leads an army to fight against the evil Orcs.

#76..I see soooo many elements of our present level of danger......and this movie, and what it represents...it's almost like it was made for 'this moment in time'....
...One of my favorite moments is when Aragon decides to meet 'them' face on.....riding into the storm, so to speak!

The best movie I have ever seen...and I will see it again. And again.
It has the capacity to shape public attitude on standing up to evil, the war on terror, all sorts of things. The people who made the movie are mostly left-leaning...I think they were directed by a hidden Hand.

Hi All..a little late into the game for me, but I just heard from my friend who was stuck in the D.C. airport. She was able to get a flight out at 8:30am. And why am I telling you this, you ask? Because guess who was on the same plane?

As a matter of fact, he was actually suppossed to sit in the same seats (she had 2, he had the other 1) but because her daughter was so sick, they moved her.
Apparantly, I have been voicing my opinion on the Fat Man too often to her, because she said to him,
"Oh, it's a good thing my friend Colleen isn't on this plane with you." He asked why. She said, "Well, to put it nicely, she hates your guts."
Things seem to be really ratcheting up. I can't believe the USS George Washington is preparing to leave (maybe) in 96 hours. When was the last time a carrier had such a quick turnaround time? They just arrived back home on December 20th.
If I were SoDamn Insane, I would be out buying lots of Depends.
