BILL Clinton took pity on his former vice president Monday night. At a private Christmas party at Man Ray for his White House staffers, Clinton urged the faithful to "keep in touch with Al Gore" in the wake of his decision not to run in 2004. While Clinton claimed to be disappointed with Gore's choice, he said he "respected" his decision, putting him in the company of relieved Democrats who feared Gore would not survive a rematch with President Bush. OUR troops in Afghanistan are in for a treat. Flame-haired comedienne Kathy Griffin is arriving just in time for Christmas to spread some red, white and blue cheer. "I plan to take over the Taliban while I'm there," Griffin told PAGE SIX. "I'll have the men wear burqas and the women all in Prada!"
