Don't push the panic button, just relax. Christmas is almost here.

On a really angering note, I heard yesterday that the airlines are banning all food and drink in carry-on luggage because it can set off the drug detectors. This is outrageous, they barely serve a morsel, and I have sat in airports for hours without anything to eat or drink. I am not paying $5 for a bottle of water at an airport store.

Airport drug detectors? Aren't they busy enough (or shouldn't they be) trying to detect shoe bomb-wearing terrorists? What kind of "drug" signal does a bottle of Aquafina give off, anyway, I wonder? Memo to airport security: there really isn't any cocaine in Coca Cola.

Are you serious about the airlines banning food? Sheesh, I always take water and some fruit along, since all they feed you is peanuts and soda. I flew home from Boston to SLC on my last business trip, no stops, and they gave us a bag of a snack mixture (crackers, nuts, etc) and soda. Twice. I was busy and didn't buy any lunch for that trip home, and was starving by the time I walked in my house. Stupid move by the airlines.
