Then, after no one had any questions, I gave them a test. No more laughter.

BRAVO!

My wife handed back a test yesterday. She prefaced it by telling them "the test was a perfect Bell curve." They groaned.

She's actually had a parent call and argue that "my daughter's 'A' wasn't high enough." But she holds her ground. It does make me wonder about some homeschool parents who can't deal with the fact that their precious child screwed up on a test.

Last week she had more than one student miss a matching question about the author of the short story the test was about.

It was an open book test.

more groan... I have those same students!!! ARGH!

What really aggravates me is when I have to sign the financial aid attendance forms for students who ONLY show up for class. No homework. No reading of the assignment. Just physical presense. And you know whose tax money is paying for those financial aid leeches?
