Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I downloaded the full screen last night and watched it again clearer. I watched a couple extras off the FOTR Extended DVD and noticed that the Director of Photography for LOTR was the guy in the beginning putting the banner up. I didn't recognize the tall guy, but I haven't watched all the extras yet either. Maybe I'll see him somewhere.

Welcome to the Hobbit Hole thread! Drop in anytime! I have been an admirer of yours ever since I joined FR for your creative use of photos (separated at birth thread, etc), and your no-nonsense approach to issues, especially as relates to the Mideast threads... ;^)
Did Overtaxed answer your question satisfactorily? If not we can do more research....

Reno = Gollum
Now why are you insulting Gollum?

I'm certain it was Berthold.... I thought so too. But the websites I found about Berthold were all in German. I didn't take the time to translate (okay, so I didn't take the time for Google to translate).
"In the middle of the earth
In the land of the Shire
There's a brave little hobbit that we all admire
With a long wooden pipe
And fuzzy wuzzy toes
He lives in a hobbit hole and everybody knows
It's Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins!
Only three feet tall!"Please someone....FMM and make it stop!!!! I'm serious..I can't get it out of my head!
To: Dawntreader
bravest little hobbit of them all...

Stop it! My insurance won't cover treatment costs! :)

I did not bow down and say "I'm not worthy!" But we did have a really good time. They had a Feast with Priest, big buffet table, and later they brought beer and other stuff. Was not as raunchy as rumors about rock band parties might lead you to believe!
You know which one I am? The blonde guy is, of course, the singer, and the other guy is the drummer. The other guys are my friends that were with me. (we didn't always dress that way, no not at all!)

*Ahem* I've been up since 6:00 a.m. Had to get Jr. up to get ready for school, packed my lunch, read in two different programs for reading the Bible through in a year, fed and walked the dog, fed the cat, got dressed, left for work, got gas, checked the anti-freeze (it was low, I think we have a leak), came in and started getting caught up... Late riser indeed!
I'm tired just reading that! I've been up since 6AM as well. Alyson decided that before dawn is the best time to party down with Mommy. *grin*

That's weatherspeak for "Watch out South Florida! You all are going to freeze your oranges off!"
It should be in the 60s for minimoot though. How nice!
