Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hey...I saw Seven Nations perform once, they were pretty good. The fiddle player was awesome.
I went to see Great Big Sea at the MN Zoo last year and they opened for them along with the Young Dubliners. Great concert.
To: Rebelbase
Cool! We have debated the recipe for Lembas many times!
To: Dawntreader
I just realized how "pretty good" sounded lol. They were really good. I enjoyed them a lot.
To: Rebelbase; All
That recipe sounds good. Ok, who is going to try it? :-)
To: Dawntreader
Alright, another Cetlic rock fan! That was the Uprooted Tour this summer where 7N,Young dubs and GBS all performed together. I got to see it in Asheville, NC.
7N is coming to Greensboro next Sat. and I have worked hard to get the college FM station to play their cd. The fruit comes tommorow as a DJ is going to play cuts off the the CD, and next week another DJ is going to do a 2 hour special on the band.
Ya'll let me know how the Lembas turn out!

LOL! I just checked Tolkientown again. They have Rangers pipes, Hobbits pipes, and Wizards pipes.... They are all on backorder! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!I'm still behind in my reading here, but I visited that site. Some of it I wouldn't take on a bet, but some of it looks interesting.
All I can say is that I hope the Tolkien estate is making a ton of money off this stuff.

It's like a horrific car accident. I can't stop watching.

Good morning!!
I got up at the crack of dawn fuming over that haiku business...
On a lighter note! The new Super Walmsrt grand opening is today!! It is just down the street from me and I'm going to get my car a new battery!
To: 2Jedismom
Good Morning! You're up early! Maybe you should send that guy a personal haiku.
"Haiku this, lib boy!"
To: 2Jedismom; Overtaxed

Yep...up very early. Got up at a quarter till six actually and visited with Steve for a while. I enjoyed making fun of the morning news crew. The weather lady is a hoot and the anchor was hyped up on something.
To: g'nad
Good Morning!
2JM is getting into arguments with some liberal about "beats" verses "syllables" in haiku on the C&F thread.
To: g'nad
I don't have any opinion on haiku...but that doesn't stop me from fighting about it on another thread!
http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?topic=9170&forum=1&8
This liberal piece of manure insinuated that I should not be teaching haiku because in schools they teach syllables, not beats.
This same guy trashed Bush right before 9/11 with a tacky joke. He's an anti-war protestor. And on top of all that...he's a psychologist. He and I are like two bricks banging together. And he owns the site.
To: Overtaxed
He has yet to respond. I suspect he won't. Come at a liberal with facts and run away howling with their tail between their legs.
What a lily-livered pile of worthless nothing!
