Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I don't care for the current style of hip-huggers... the ones that seem designed to show off the top of a thong.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
the overall effect was to make the girls look more like boys.I read somewhere that many fashions nowadays are designed by homosexual designers to look good on 'pretty boys'. That goes a long way toward explaining the clothes AND models that show up on runways during Fashion Shows, doesn't it?

I'll agree with that. When Rose and I went to see the Pirate movie Friday before last, I saw a lot of women walking around wearing the new hip-hugger style jeans and pants... very unattractive. It seemed they were designed to minimize hips and backsides, and the overall effect was to make the girls look more like boys. I wanna know who's designing women's clothing these days! Most clothes at the major stores are NOT flattering. That's why I was so happy to find that wayyyy marked down Pendleton outfit. Those clothes are very elegant and feminine. Feminine is good!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
uh. mine don't do that. no floss there for me thank you.

Looks like you had an extra " at the end of the image tag.
To: 2Jedismom
I should just run down to JCP and check them out.You may not find much in the stores this time of year. If you order from the catalog, you can have it delivered to the house, then return it to the store if it doesn't fit. Yes it's a pain, but at least you'll have something to try on!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah, well did my pictures in front of my computer look like a pretty boy? I had on hip-huggers!

You'd have to stand up and turn around before I could comment... Uh, I'm not quite sure about that. I have no one now to take the photo. But, I can tell you that there is fleshed out stuff back there.

Good morning everyone! It appears that today will be the day...the last day here at our cozy old Hobbit Hole.
ecurbh - Thanks for all of the jokes. Really brightened up my morning, even though it took me forever to get caught up. :)
Well folks, let me serve what is the last breakfast before Implosion.

See, most of the women I was noticing at the theater seemed to be fleshed out too... but the pants were so tight around their hips and butt that everything was squashed flat. I just didn't find that look attractive to me.
To: Wneighbor
Mmmm. after this food, I'll never be able to stay awake another 2 hours. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
