Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Gnad-no reason we can't build a "primitive crossbow" you are a genius... that project just made my "tuhdo list"...
stock doesn't have to be oak, better to go with a lighter wood imo... we need to get our heads together on this...
my crossbow now is a Horton Hunter XL... the image is of a Hunter XS, the latest version... mine is nearly identical... 175 lb. draw, 310 fps...

I haven't bought Girl Scout cookies in awhile, though I suppose it's more a matter of accessibility than politics. However, Grasshopper cookies are the same as thin mints, so I can get 'em guilt free...at lease until someone tells me Keebler (?) is part of the vast left wing conspiracy... ;-)

My favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate Chip.Mine too. Love Friendly's...mmmmmmmm! There's also a local ice cream place that makes their own, with really huge chunks of chocolate in it. Wonderful stuff!
