AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 696) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 17, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 12/17/2002 4:08:27 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Secretary Powell announced, according to the London Sun, there are problems with the Iraqi arms declaration. The Sun also reports there are significant (numbers are given in the article - go to Drudge for the link - but will not be repeated here) movements of US and British forces toward the Persian Gulf area.

The United States announced it will field a missile interceptor base by 2004. The base will likely be located in Alaska.

The Supreme Court has asked the Solicitor General for the Administrations position in a key abortion case. The case centers on whether a law designed to protect abortion clinics can be used to keep people from posting information on the Internet about the doctors who carry out the procedure.

Canadian intelligence has surmized that country is being used by Al Qa'eda as a staging ground.

And an ABC "News"/Washington Pravda poll found that one-third of all Republicans and three-fourths of the people belonging to the Criminal Party thought Lott should step down as Majority Leader. Lott's fate in that regard will be decided by Republicans on January 6, 2003.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I have been in the game all along. I do not agree with you.

As I said before, the President is not a coward, which is what you were implying. The White House has established a "hands off" approach and has decided the senators should settle this, and rightfully so.

Politically, if the majority leader is shown to be a Bush pick, the democrats won't compromise on anything. If the ML is NOT who the President wants, it will be very hard to get help on legislation from that person.

In addition, the Bush administration has been very strict about separation of powers. Remember the Cheney energy task force? That argument was based on separation of powers, and the administration cannot get involved in Senate business without undermining their position.

Furthermore, if the President didn't want to get in the game he wouldn't have run to begin with.

Aren't those snowflakes cool? I'm going to print some out on Sunday and cut them out and hang them in my living room window. I can keep them up past Christmas.

I'm just sitting here waiting for a developer to come fix the mess she made on my computer. So I'm surfing around that snowflake website. Now I want to do a snowflake tree next year! I think that would be really pretty. And he has some patterns that are heart snowflakes. I might cut some out in red paper and hang them in my office window for Valentine's Day.

Maybe the soup has Chinese mustard in it. I like that on egg rolls, mixed with the sweet/sour sauce, but boy, too much of it and my nose is running like a faucet!

the President is not a coward

Some guys down here in Texas have something that makes them absolutely honest, and absolutely fearless. Our President is one of them. He'll tell you what he thinks, and you can tell him what you think, but don't ever double-cross or lie to one of those guys. You will cease to exist in their book.

The Machevelli reading crowd thinks that everyone thinks like they do, and don't understand how a straight shooter can always win out over some carpetbagging, doublethinking, doubledealer with delusions of grandeur.

I like cutting things. I dabbled in scherenschnitte (sp) a few years ago. For some reason it's a satisfying and soothing craft. I think I will print some of those out tonight.

I had those RED Peppers in it...I could have gone for a touch of Wasabi...I love that stuff....

There is this Japanese Restaurant up here that Bit and I go to. They have this awesome batter or dough that they use for their egg rolls..and they take wasabi and spoon a glob of it in a small dish of duck sauce...you dip your egg roll in that wasabi/duck sauce and you are in HEAVEN!!!!

Thank you. I agree totally.

My dad was from Texas, and he would work with almost anyone. He would go out of his way to be nice to folks. BUT, if they weaseled on him, he had no use for them.

I think we are seeing this in action.

God bless Texas!!

AHH!!! I knew there was a reason I always felt "soothed" after eating that soup...besides the HOT nature of it...just downing the broth warms ya up inside..and really, it does loosen my chest congestion quite a bit.

How nice! Sometimes little things like that make a big difference...and can sure perk up your holidays.

I bought a ceramic canape platter decorated in cardinals for my annoying sister (the democrat) who nonetheless came over and helped me get the basement rec room ready for Christmas Eve. She loves cardinals, and she was also worried I was getting too stressed. It was a kind gesture, and I want her to know I appreciate it.

Your local asian market will have wasabi powder for just a couple of bucks. I love it too. It's too bad that I'm the only one in the house that likes hot food, but I've been slowly raising the heat level over the last 7 years. ;>)

yes, it really was quite nice...you could tell there was great thought put behind those gifts, in that my co-worker loves the Snowmen figurines..and I love the Christmas Tree ones.

DO you think your annoying sister could come help me get my front room ready for Christmas???
