My knees felt pretty good when I got up today, but doing some deliveries the pain started to come back. When I was at my office in Nashville today, I really noticed it on the stairs. But nearly all of the last 200+ deliveries have been just out the window beneath their mailbox so I'm not doing so much work. I think we'll put in a family effort tomorrow morning for 2-4 hours and try to knock out as much as possible and quit after that.

I really understand about the Christmas thing. I think it's terrible and our Christian friends in Asia just can't fathom those things. Christmas is a national holiday in Singapore and it is seen as a Christian holiday, not a secular holiday. Yeah, the celebration is kind of a mix of Santa and Jesus, but at least there's no effort to take Jesus out of the picture.

Today I heard about a teacher (in California?) who was told that she could not use the word "Christmas." Is that not going way too far even for liberals?

Regarding your knees: please pay attention to them. You can get an inflammation of the tendons around the kneecap which can cause deterioration, arthritis, and eventually (as in my case) surgery. Take an anti-inflammatory like aspirin or Alleve and ice those knees at the end of the day.

I used to work on my feet in a store with a concrete sub-floor. My knees got progressively worse although I wasn't paying much attention. They got so bad that when I sat in the car to drive home, they would be really sore, and by the time I got home I could hardly walk in the house. After I quit, I thought things were ok. Then one day I stepped off the porch and turned and my kneecap dislocated. Hence the surgery.

Be very careful. Knees problems really can sneak up on you.
