Re: The Lott mess. I am trusting the President and the Senators to straighten this out. It is way beyond my pay grade on figuring out the best solution. :-)

CT, Lott just might resign but I doubt it. The dems are doing the bleeding in the stream thing and the killer fish are attacking. BUT, Lott can get along with the dems, Delay? They hate his guts, this is the reason I think they will work all this out.
Perhaps they all should remember that MS and a whole lot of other stated use to be divided race wise, in shchools and everywhere else, it was the signs of the times. I was sent to Ole Miss when it was intregated as a policeman, I also worked on the killings of the civil rights workers in Philidelha, MS, later being just a plain out murders. I watched as the sit-ins were at the counters in eating places and I watched as the 'white-black' signs were removed from the restrooms and water coolers. I paid my poll taxes in order to be able to vote. I worked the riots, and I lived the whole nightmare and investigated the KKK for 10 years and yes, took two sticks of explosives off of my motor block on my assigned unmarked car which was hooked to the turn signal. It went the change from a history of 'the way it was' to a modern day gathering of the races. It was the changing of times among the races. Thats the way it just was.
Lott lived this change, some of us could endure and did for the better, some lived the hatred of old, which is still there among some. Lott is by no meands a racist in any since of word. He just said somthing that didn't come out the way it was suppose to. I wish him God speed.

#40...Their music was great....but their lack of modesty, and respect for themselves was a turn-off for me.
It was like.....'We know you won't listen to us unless we REALLY grab your attention with our sexy attire.'
Well, I, for one, am tired of this message.

And I love the Blues, the belly rubbing, cheek mashing Delta Blues.

My legs are fine, it is soreness from walking so far, I cut it down yesterday and it worked out most of the soreness.

I have seen them on TV......and I agree totally........
I wish some of these girls would let their talent speak for itself..........
OTOH they know what sells, I guess. More's the pity.......
Don't you find yourself asking "Where are their mothers????"
To: MozartLover
#46....LOL, their mothers probably dress like that too :^)

Look.....I'm still dealing with the ...'It's my hair, and after all I'm an artist'...son who has grown his hair longer (at 24) than he ever had it in highschool and college.
Most of my friends are telling me....'Leave him alone.....it's just a stage'....
..So I am.
(doesn't mean I'm super happy about it)
BUT, I would never have let my daughter go out looking like any one of those girls.....especially if she were on TV, LOL!
It MUST be the Britney Spears influence, more's the pity.

Later all....
I need to start baking some things.
To: MozartLover
However........LOL
Just remembered watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding....
..and my friend & I thought the main guy lead was rather cool looking, EVEN WITH the longish hair :)))

Why don't we forget about Lott today and put the blame back on Daschle where it belongs?
To: The Raven
I'm with you for the most part on that one...
But I said long ago, during the Bush Inauguration that it was time for Lott to go.

Howdy everybody! and good morning!
I posted this late on the Dec. 10th ATRW thread but not many got to see it, so I'm posting it again. There were graphics with it, but I guess they weren't copied with the text.
I wanted to take some time out to say "Thank You for your warm welcome to me when I first came to Free Republic! You have made living in this liberal waste land a little more bearable! What I really like is the "family" feeling I get whenever I log on to FR and most of the threads. I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope to be posting more after I've settled into my new apartment. May God Bless You All! 221 posted on 12/10/2002 7:32 PM EST by Pippin

Well, I miss roasts, turkey, and frozen pizzas! You cannot really do those in a microwave or the grill. I had some success doing a roast on the gas grill, but it is now too cold to really use it.
And, I really, really need an oven for Christmas baking. Schlepping stuff over to my sister's is ok once in a while, but heavy-duty baking needs to be done on site!

Nex time I am sick and really don't feel like coming to work but resist staying home because we are short handed at the office, please, PLEASE, remind me of 13 Dec 02, when I came to work, and no one else in the office did because they were both sick...OK???
Yeah, but you just know that had you called in sick you would have been pilloried for it. Now, you can sleep the sleep of the righteous ;-)

How did you sneak in here without me seeing you?? I hope daughter is ok and not has gone home thinking she is SUPERMOM.
