Hope the kids do well in their programs! The really neat thing about little ones is that even if they flub up it is adorable ..... wish that was true of us adults ...... LOL!
My turn to do a little Grandma bragging. My 4 1/2 year old grandson started taking karate (or some such ..... not sure exactly which discipline) in the fall. Last week he tested and earned his white belt.
He was supposed to test over a month ago ...... but The Jerk had him that day and forgot to take his karate uniform so he couldn't test. Grandson had been sooooooo excited about it and then daughter-child had to console him without bad-mouthing The Jerk ..... quite a tight-rope to walk.
But now grandson has his white belt and can move on up from there ....... *grins*

I awakened to a powdering of snow here in Utah this morning. The lawns and cars looked like someone had sifted a very light covering of powdered sugar over them. I want more snow!!!

I'm curious:
Do you refer to it as The Rocky Mountain Snow Effect when you get snow from that direction????
To: Bitwhacker; MozartLover; Utah Girl
I refer to it as The Rocky Mountain Horror Show when we get snow from that direction.

We get lake effect snow here in Utah also, from the Great Salt Lake. I don't quite understand it, but apparently the water in the lake goes into the atmosphere and cause even more snow to fall when a snowstorm hits. I know the Chairman will have a much better, more technical explanation than me. :)

(Ummm, no, see, you were supposed to say something like, 'No, I've never heard of the Lake Snow Effect'...so that we could point out the arcane ways of Cheeseland....)

That was my theory last night too! daschle and the dems are always in there making mischief.

:) One new thing I heard about when I lived in New York City was the wind chill factor. To me, it was cold, and the temperature should have been the temp without factoring in the wind. But what do I know...
To: Bitwhacker
This means we would have gulf effect snow here on the MS Gulf Coast? Naw, we would call it a miricle.

The whistle hadn't blown. The play was still alive. The guy could have gotten up and run. Which is why he should have touched him. Even if he'd have knocked the ball loose, it wouldn't have been a fumble (knee down when contact made). The whistle should have blown, making the touch unneccessary, but since it hadn't blown, Edwards should have touched him down. Again, unlike Warren Sapp, who was stopping another players efforts to involve themself in the play, and had to ensure that the guy stayed out of the play for an indeterminent period of time, all this required was a touch - End of play, mission accomplished.

"
I want more snow!!!"
You and me both, Sister; you and me both.:( We have NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. And none predicted through the 20th, at least.:(
Did you see my (2nd) note on your MTC thread?
To: Utah Girl; Neets
I think wind chill factor is an artificial device to make local East Coast weather reports sound especially dire...and being a weather reporter in the Los Angeles region must be the most boring and easiest jobs on earth -- like predicting that water is wet!

Mm........that tea looks yummy. Think I'll have some more.
To: Bitwhacker
No, when we get snow from that direction, we usually refer to it as a "blizzard". :)
To: Utah Girl
YUP!! Right now it is 28 degrees, but with the wind chill factor it feels like 21...heheheheh
