A suggestion about the laminate floors. Some people are unhappy with the way they "click" when one walks on them. Not all are like that, and it depends on the kind of surface it covers. They work best on concrete slab, not plywood subfloor. I suggest you find someone who's used the product before you decide. Talk to installers and try to see the product installed. Also, if you use it in a kitchen, have your installer put a good coat of polyurithane on top to seal all seams and borders...this will prevent spills from getting under the floor. Good luck. I am fonder of the Chestnut floor, but then again it's what I have in my home. I have dark furniture.
