I like the first sample better...it's warmer.
A suggestion about the laminate floors. Some people are unhappy with the way they "click" when one walks on them. Not all are like that, and it depends on the kind of surface it covers. They work best on concrete slab, not plywood subfloor. I suggest you find someone who's used the product before you decide. Talk to installers and try to see the product installed. Also, if you use it in a kitchen, have your installer put a good coat of polyurithane on top to seal all seams and borders...this will prevent spills from getting under the floor. Good luck. Nice Christmas present!
Gotta go now...listening to Trent.

Thanks for the tips. This product is a vinyl tile going over a cement slab, so the only clicking will be the poochies nails.
The 30 year warranty should do just fine at this point in time. ;-)

I am fonder of the Chestnut floor, but then again it's what I have in my home. I have dark furniture.

We watched the Baba Wawa interview. She was driving us nuts with questions that contained false statements, veiled accusations, etc. The expression on Pres. Bush's face as he listened to her goofy questions, especially the ones where she would quote something he never said, was priceless. It really looked to me like he really wanted to be doing something else that talking to that silly woman.

Need more coffee. He wanted to be doing something other than talking to that woman. Yikes.

Access, perks go to big contributors, GOP papers show
By Burt Hubbard, Rocky Mountain News
December 14, 2002
A series of memos and letters made public by a court case - many from former Republican National Party chairman and Colorado developer Jim Nicholson - appear to prove that money does indeed buy political access.
An ambassadorship is mentioned in the same breath as a $100,000 donation.
A dinner date with then Colorado Congressman Dan Schaefer is arranged for an executive whose company just joined the GOP's Team 100 club for major donors.
Global Crossing is asked to up its corporate donation to $250,000 after one of its mergers was approved.
Former President Bill Clinton's fund-raising efforts are highlighted in other memos. One solicits a donation from a Texaco lobbyist while noting Clinton's support for drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
"These documents give a lie to those who say that money does not buy access," said Larry Noble, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics.
The correspondence from the 1996 to 2000 time period was presented in Washington, D.C., as part of a court challenge by the RNC and others to the new federal campaign-finance act. They involve correspondence from both Democratic and Republican Party fund-raisers to major contributors.

The only "Saturday Night Live" material Al Gore vetoed during read-throughs as too embarrassing was a sketch about flatulence. "I'm sure this is funny," Mr. Gore said, according to Al Franken, a "Saturday Night Live" alumnus who has written speeches for the former vice president and helped shape tonight's show.
"But at the end of this I want to have some bread crumbs leading back to my dignity." NY Times

AlGore may have to look for a real job soon. It seems the zinc mine in Tennessee that has been paying him and his "neighbors" royalties for years is shutting down.

From the pics, the Chestnut seems to have a deeper, richer appearance. Who knows what the actual samples will look like?

...it was now cheaper to buy zinc than dig it up...
Can you now just download your zinc?
This does not compute with me.

You just get it in the vitamins and supplements department at Walgreens, of course.
