Thanks so much for putting last year's turkey pic on the thread: it makes me smile with each post.
Thank G*d for President Bush.

BWAHahahahaha!!!
It would have taken every ounce of my being not to give that turd a good swift kick had I been there at this opportunity!

Wonder why we can't get a larger image of these pics?
What a total dipstick he is in that outfit!

I so want to see this image in a larger view!

Oh thanks for the reminder. I wanted to ask HLL if she would save it to her shutterfly. It is a keeper!
HLL, would you please?
Thank God for President Bush indeed!

I think I'll put it on my pathetic home page here. ;-)

Isn't it funny how the photographers just happen to be around when the bent one is playing football?! "Commander in Chief"...sheesh! Methinks there may be a bad case of Kennedy-envy here. Or maybe it's Dubya-envy. Ha ha ha!

Bent definitely has Dubya-envy. Before I'm sure it was Kennedy-envy but since GWB has proven to be such a great president it's got to be eating at him. Hillary! too. Laughing right along with ya!

Daughter Chelsea was spared her father's embarrassment. The Oxford student was attending a lecture at the time.Hmmmm, I thought this was Chelsea.

No shame clinton strikes again.

Another great Peggy Noonan column. Finally got around to reading it. Fabulous! And should be handed out to every judge and whining dim in the country along with instructions to refer to it often.

Here's a good one from Linda Chavez...
Stop the worrying and complaining, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving
When did we become such a nation of worriers and complainers? Thanksgiving - that one day a year when we're supposed to count our blessings - now seems to evoke as much angst as it does pleasure. Newspapers are filled with tips to avoid holiday quarrels among family members or rush annoying relatives out the door before the gravy has dried on the plate. It seems every local TV station is carrying warnings about the fat content in the traditional meal, conjuring up images of instantly expanding waistlines and exploding arteries to scare off even the hardiest of eaters.
Then, if we manage to make it through the meal without a family feud or heart attack spoiling the holiday spirit, we're told we have to worry about heading out on the highways or, worse, going through airport security before we reach home.
It's all a bunch of hooey, and I'm having none of it. I intend to thoroughly enjoy my Thanksgiving, no matter how hard anyone tries to ruin it. For the rest of this great story
Btw, my turkey sandwich on white bread with lots of mayo was delish! :-)

Don't you wonder how much planning went into the Toon's Mr. Football photo op? He probably had an advance team go to Oxford to recruit gullible American students to show up for the "impromptu" football game (promising to reward them with a few rounds at the local pub afterward), then he just happened to show up in his warm-up suit. "Say, fellas, mind if Ah play? That group of photographers? Don't mind them!"
What a loser.

I see the SINator from New York, and old crusty got out of town for Thanksgiving. Where's Chelsa?? HMMM???

Would have preferred his suit to be bright orange with the words: "Commander in Thief" on it. What a loser, indeed.
Hi, Teacup. One account has Chels attending a lecture while her Dad was making a royal rear-end of himself.
Chels at a lecture? I can't believe it.
Excellent Chavez piece. DH and I actually left the in-laws early last evening because of them whining about a legal situation with a former employee. I felt like telling them to tell it to their attorney and not us, but I listened politely for ten minutes. After that, I kicked DH in the leg and he announced we had to go. I prefer pleasant holidays, not ones full of gripes and complaints.

Here she is. Is there any amount we could pay Briton to keep them?
I miss the purple pashmina.

Thanks JL but looks like those are for live trees, one of those I've got. A stand for the fake ones needs a smaller opening, about 1 and 1/2 inches or so. Shouldn't be too hard to find one. But thank you so much for thinking of me. :-)

BILL Clinton made a celebrated trip to McDonald's when he attended the Labour Party conference in Blackpool but this week it was his bodyguards' turn for fast food.
Bill and Hillary were staying at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford with no fewer than 20 Secret Service agents. But when the time came for the goons to refuel, they declined the hotel food. Instead two agents nipped out to a nearby branch of Burger King and returned laden down with Big Whoppers.
The Mirror_________________________
I'm betting the Whoppers were for Blubba himself, not his throng of taxpayer-furnished bodyguards. FYI, the Randolph Hotel rates reportedly are: Suites - From £255 to £555 Bed and Breakfast (that's about $400-900; presumably, the presidential suite is the one that's closest to $1,000 per night); the rooms for the Secret Service agents run about £175.00 each, not including breakfast ($275). Your tax dollars at work!

I am beginning to think that Richard Simmons has more testosterone in him than Slick. He is such a useless sack of malehood.
To: mountaineer
Could someone please explain to me why Blubba needs 20 agents? How many agents are typically assigned to former Presidents?
And while he's with his traveling circus, are there others left behind guarding the abandoned New York residence? Someone has to watch poor Seamus.
