In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

"How can anyone look up at the sky on any night, but especially during a meteor shower and not believe in God?"

Good point. There are so many ways God shows us His goodness, power and love, but many fail to recognize them.

My wife and I couldn't see diddly squat because of an overcast sky, but it was romantic just the same........very cold, but romantic.

Morning, Miss Bru. Can't stay for class today; meetings start in a few minutes, but thought I'd stop by.

Just love this Atlanta hospitality -- they put on a nice light rain, just to make this Seattleite feel at home. *\;-)

This case of political jock itch seems to have recrudesced after an all-too-brief period of relative remission.

However, I find it irritating that we as taxpayers are subsidizing her salary, rewarding her for irresponsibility, obstructionism and outright worthlessness.

Look at it this way. IF you remove her, you give the left another race card to play, and in doing so re-invigorate both, the Lefts caricature of the the Right hating civil rights, and also the profile and stature of the commission.

By letting her serve out her term, you let her own actions undermine what little credibility the commission has left, and once re-elected you can replace her with a black conservative, or declare the commissions work done and disband it. After two days no one will notice anyway.

I agree with your assessment, and expressed the same contentions (albeit through clenched teeth) as I viewed her defiant, childish behavior as it was broadcast.

Actually, as a previous freeper commented, it would be far more pleasing to see her as the lone leftist, autocratic member of that committee. Although I can't envision it, she would certainly become more vile.

After a few weeks of peace and quiet following his personal whupping on Election Day, the recrudescence of Bill Clinton has begun. One can't be too shocked, since, by analyzing the word, one discovers:

re means again
crud means scum, crap, or dirt and,
esence is similar to essence, which means: The intrinsic or indispensable properties that serve to characterize or identify something.

In other words, here comes the man who epitomizes sh!t. Again!

Unfortunately, the law is written to prohibit partisan or ideological stacking of the commission. With 8 members, no more than 4 can be from the same party. Of course the dems ignore this regulation and have 4 flaming liberal democrats along with 2 flaming liberal democrats who call themselves "independents".

After an all-too-brief period out of the public eye following his lifetime of astonishing crudity in Arkansas and the White House, Bill Clinton's recrudescence reminds us all to vote Republican no matter who the candidate is.

True, but that is a sword that can cut both ways.

Clooney, by virtue of having played a military role in the movies, feels he is imminently qualified to comment on war.
Just as Martin Sheen, having played a fictitious president on TV, actually thinks he IS the President.

Let them have their little delusions; let's hope the doofus dems keep taking advice from the Hollyweirdos. After all, it has served them so well so far....... 8-]

' "Congressman Pitts doesn't believe in stoning anybody." —Gabe Neville, confirming that his boss, Rep. Joseph R. Pitts, Pennsylvania Republican, abruptly canceled an appearance at a religious conference after learning its members support the execution of homosexuals and abortion providers and stoning disobedient children.'

Taliban with recrudesence?
At least Pitts seems to have some sense.
Strange cults still survive
Not just in Mideast hive
So don't let down your vigilence.

Of course, I thought recrudesence is what we would have if Hitlary (Heaven forbid) was reelected.
