the trick is that any number between 1 and 10 multiplied by 9 and added together is going to be 9, and thusly you're always thinking of a "D" country, of which there are only about four (Denmark, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, and Deutshland if you want to be clever are the ones that come to mind) Denmark is probably the first choice to come to mind, because well, it's easy to pronounce, and after that everything else falls in line.

The multiples of 9 are 9,18,36,45,54,63,72,81,90...all of those digits add to 9, subract 5 and ever time you will end up with 4; which equals D...go from there.
