I think it's best in the Northeast, but you should be able to see them out there, too. Right now, the full moon's out (with a huge ring around it, btw) so after the moon sets should be good viewing!

Happy hunting!

Sorry, I just saw your post. Yes, the peak of the Leonids was early this morning, but when Sir SuziQ got up to check to see if the sky was clear, he came running back up the stairs to let me know there was 1/2" of water on the kitchen floor. We think the water dispenser in the refrigerator let loose and it poured out all night. We got that cleaned up in about 1/2 hr., but then we went down to the basement and the ceiling tiles had disentegrated in a couple of places and the carpet was SOAKING WET! He set up the de-humidifier, then went back to bed because there was nothing else for him to do. I got out my Big Green Clean Machine and proceeded to suck up about 6 gallons of water from the floor! Luckily, it hadn't fallen on the TV or DVD player, and our DVDs are still safe! A couple of pieces of the sectional sofa that we've had about 20 yrs. got soaked, but we were planning to junk it anyway, so now is as good a time as any!

While he was working on the kitchen floor just after we'd gotten up, I checked the Southern sky and saw the International Space Station fly past. He had told me to look for it, so I called him out on the deck and he saw it too. I stayed out a minute or two more and saw ONE meteor fly into the Big Dipper, but then I had to get to work in the basement. The next time I looked up from the floor, the sun was coming up!

I'm fixing to go back to bed right now, so I'll be on MUCH later in the morning!
