Molly, thank you for that link to the story about Afghanistan. It is impossible to imagine how those people lived under the Taliban.

It seems to me that there is an arm of Islam that is nothing but psychotic men. I believe the Islamic fundamentalists, are, in other words, just plain evil and nuts.

Sorry, I was sidetracked. Foster is mad because his chosen candidate didn't get into the runoff, so he's taking his endorsement and going home. I don't know why Cooksey is going along with him on this, unless he has no future political ambitions.

All I know is that both of them are marginalizing themselves on the state and national level, because the voters who voted for a GOP candidate last week are going to show up again on December 7 with the same purpose, getting rid of Mary Landrieu, no matter how much Mike Foster whines about it. In fact, if you can, listen to his call in show tomorrow afternoon on WWL. The callers tore him a new one last week over his temper tantrum, and it should be more of the same tomorrow. As for any future help from the RNC, or the state GOP, both of them can forget it if they keep up this spoiled brat attitude.

I heard the show last week, he got some flack for sure. Cooksey, I don't know unless he is just going along with the gov. but just who is he anyway, does he have the govs office in his mind? I head yesterday that Pesident W is coming down for Terrell as is the VP. Will Foster shun the President when he comes down? He is hard headed you know and just might want to prove his point. Not much of a contest if you ask me, W will stand tall.

I'm taking a quick break from preparing for class. Today is the day we read news articles in my Reading class, but finding news that is interesting and yet not too sensitive for the students isn't easy. Half of my class are Muslims so I try to stay away from terrorism and Iraq.

Put in my request for Xmas Leave, and got P.O'd, coz I was told she had to check with the other only person who will be here to see if SHE is taking off (SHE has already had 5 weeks leave this year so far.)

In the book, Andersen emphasizes the 'wildness' of W's youth.....to an extreme, I think.....but he seems to have a genuine respect for the President and First Lady, and their wonderful relationship.
