Are you addicted?

Take this easy quiz to find out.

1. Have you lost or almost lost your job due to video games?

2. Have you lost a relationship due to video games?

3. Do you hum the themes to the games you are playing in your head, or worse OUT LOUD?!?

4. Have you ever been in the mall and said to a friend, hey that guy over there kinda looks like Max Payne?

5. Have you played a single game for more then 6 hours a day?

Hey, he does look a little like Max Payne!

"One of the worst addictions I have faced was Final Fantasy Tactics. I was just finished college and should of looked for employment but did not due to the time I needed to put into this game. Mr. Kevin Grim"

Please send your prayers to this man, too. Oh, and while your at it, I could use a dishwasher. Thanks.

He isn't going to solve his problem wasting time looking for pity here on FR.

Geesh, have you not one ounce of compassion in your body. He has admitted he screwed and is just looking for a little support. Seems so many people are quick to judge others with their self-righteous, self-centered egos they can't lend a bit of support. I believe some of us have hit rock bottom, emtionally or spirtually or whatever and just needed to pick our ourselves up again. And some don't have ANYONE to talk to, so lighten up J.J.

Don't judge unless you've walked in this FReepers shoes. I'm sure it is difficult enough without being ridiculed by you.

Genesis, you have my support. Now get off your rump and make things right with your wife, son, job, etc. It's still not to late. Keep your chin up, keep the faith and don't give up!!!!!!

"Next thing you know, he's going to be addicted to this forum"

Like that happens..sheesh.

I can quit anytime I want to. I've quit many times before.

I think his wife is the one needing prayers, she's been carrying the load of two for quite a while.... I have serious doubts that any man who could sit by for 5 years and basically ignore his familys needs for his own will suddenly become worthy.

He's looking here when he should be looking at GOD. FR is wonderful I know but it's no replacement for the Lord.

Problem is some of us have actually walked in his spouses shoes and wished for years that we had the luxury of lounging around leaving the stress and work of raising a family to someone else while we marinate for awhile.

I have one daughter, who is retarded, autistic, extremely hyperactive and has a sezuire disorder. Because of the autism she had major behavior problems. She's 23 years old now and still lives at home. Me and my hubby have worked extremely hard to get her where her behavior is managable and where she understands things and can do things for herself. The work paid off. She's a good loving kid. She's still a work in progress, but, then again aren't we all? After raising her, a normal child would have been a piece of cake.

And by the way, don't confuse compassion, understanding and love with someone who's a push over. You can't raise a child like this and be a push over, let me tell you.

You have not only sinned against your wife and son, you have sinned against God. Repent. You should be talking to HIM, not us. Talk to Him just as you've talked to us. Recognize your sin and repent of it. Put it behind you and move forward. Give your wife a break and stop begging. Leave her alone. Get on with your life...get a job...any job. Two jobs. Some of us have three jobs. His grace will help you if you truly want to change. The change will help your wife, not your words. Give your life to Christ and get out there and do whatever you find to do. He will open doors by and by. You need to put your selfishness on the cross and step forward "a new creature in Christ Jesus." He will help you if you are sincere.

Gen---

I'm so sorry to hear of your and Mrs. Gen's separation.

I know what it's like to let video gaming strain a relationship.

Are you willing to commute a few miles?

Make that quite a few.

I know that my place of employment is hiring; we have so much work that we're overtime most weeks.

It's decent pay (union shop).

It's in Winnebago County - south end of the city of Menasha.

Freepmail me for more information.

Will pray for you.

I am laughing so hard at this "huckster" for prayers.

And, yes, I must say, also at the peoples who would offer prayers for this lazy misfit of a man.

Sorry, but we conservatives should tell him to lace up his boots and get out there and work.

Huckster, huh? What would YOU know? Have you met the guy? I have! It cost him every shred of dignity he has to post such a confession - such an admission of guilt - here for all of us to read. He knows he did wrong. Can YOU admit wrongdoing before others?

And JJ. If you don't believe that you're a wretch just like everyone else on earth, I invite you to prove your superiority. Your ad hominem attacks upon an emotionally distraught human being are reprehensible. Don't go trying to say that you're offering constructive criticism. We all recognize the wolves when they attack. Think you're deflecting insight into your own character? All you do with posts like these is reveal your pride.

Well, dearie, if you know him personally, what can I say. Can YOU clean him up for an interview for a job, and see that he goes once he is hired? Seems that his wife only wants him to work instead of playing games on the computer.

I think he is revealing his ANGER. Raising all those "other-man's" kids, apparently, made an angry man out of him. Perhaps he should be asking prayer for himself. Ya think?
