In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
enervate \EN-ur-vayt\, verb:
To deprive of nerve, force, or strength; to weaken; to impair the moral powers of.
Etymology: Enervate is from Latin enervatus, from enervo, enervare, to to remove the sinews from, hence to weaken, from e-, ex-, from + nervus , sinew.

Didn't it feel weird seeing out of one eye and not the other for that first week? Assuming you had one done at a time.

Yes, they do, xs. But it's all laser cuts. And now it's done with computer science, unlike ten years ago. They know exactly where to slice the little slices. I think it's now called Photoradialkeratotomy

Cyber's right. There's only one way to cook a turkey.

Make stuffing in a baking pan.
To: CholeraJoe
Stuffing does not taste the same unless it's made INSIDE the turkey.
The actual taste of the turkey is par excellence with the hot oil, though.
So we're making two! LOL!

Potato chips and cold cereal without milk are seldom known to cause food poisoning.
To: CholeraJoe
But I thought Tuna and Snapper were the same thing ?

Once I looked up "ramekin" and figured you meant "pepper" not "paper", I started to drool. That sounds pretty yum, there, Miss Slip! I would worry about the skin getting overcooked and splitting or something if you brown it first, but you must know what you're doing.

Add a melted stick of butter on top of the ramekin stuff with a brush.
Doesn't this just brush your ramekin stuff off?

I agree with this statement 100%. When I put a turkey neck in with the spare stuffing, it helps but it's just not the same.

Did y'all see this
vanity thread apparently posted by a DUH troll trying to stir up a discussion of GOP using their new majority status to "overthrow" (sic) Roe v. Wade. The troll's lame attempt backfired as the discussion was primarily what an idiot (and transparent) dim-o-crat the poster appeared to be.
