Barbra Streisand embarrassed even some of her political allies with the strident partisanship of her Democratic fundraising concert in Hollywood, during which she slammed the president for ''the arrogance of wanting unlimited power.

Lord, have mercy!! If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black!!

Thanks for photo of the lovely Chels. thank goodness the elections are over and we can get back to dissing her! One of the tabloids is now featuring a story on her drinking problem. She does look a bit hungover and puffy in your picture.

Al Gore will decide in the next few months whether to challenge Republican President Bush

I love this statement, Teacup! Maybe they are considering letting Bush run unopposed in 04. They might as well!

''the arrogance of wanting unlimited power." I think Bab's was thinking about her friend Bill Clinton when she made that staement, LOL. About these Hollywood liberal types............they're dumb, with more money then brains, and they think that everyone is waiting to hear what they have to say. Like Jessica Lange, "I hate President Bush" statement. Who cares what an old has been has to say? If I remember correctly, she started off as a model and then undressed her way into movies. Oh wow, quite an accomplishment, don't you think?

If they run Al Gore, John F. Kerry, Hillary Clinton,Joe Lieberman, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, Bush might as well run unopposed in 04, hee hee hee.

Gephardt to Pass House Leader Post

WASHINGTON (AP) - Missouri Rep. Dick Gephardt intends to announce Thursday that he will not seek a new term as House Democratic leader, senior aides said.

The expected announcement would clear the way for a succession struggle among Democrats, who have been in the minority for eight years and lost seats to Republicans in midterm elections on Tuesday.

Oh boy!!!! It's getting interesting. Now if we could just get rid of Dash-Hole, that would be great.

Mon Nov 4, 1:11 PM ET Fordham University students Patrick Stanley, third from left, and James Salt, right, hold an anti-war banner in front of U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., as she speaks during a campaign rally for New York gubernatorial candidate H. Carl McCall, on the Bronx, N.Y., campus Monday, Nov. 4, 2002. The candidate's message was obliterated at the event when anti-war activists disrupted Clinton's speech.

Hey, is that Al Gores son? HA! HA! HA! Just kidding.

Arriving late,,, again. It's too late to say Good Morning, it's almost bedtime.

My "favorite candidate" won the race with 62% of the vote.

Last night, while monitoring precinct results, I fell down the ornate marble steps at the Court House. I was able to catch myself using the hand railing,, arms, shoulders, back, knees, neck,,,,,all screaming tonite.

This old chick is going to bed soon.

Is this Hillary's lucky voting outfit? She also wore it in 2000.

I thought I had posted to The Guild first thing this morning. I must have just posted in my head.

I had a really great showing in my election. I got much higher numbers than expected and my absentee ballots have still not been counted.

The district I was running in has not had a republican candidate in 34 years so the party was very happy with my numbers, and I won't complain. It was a small victory.

Oh boo hoo hoo, sniff, sniff, booo hooooooo!

‘This is the worst night I have had’

A power shift in the U.S. Senate will bring some noticeable changes, including a more aggressive attitude toward Saddam Hussein, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle said Wednesday. [YEA!]

Daschle lost his leadership position soon after Republicans took control of the Senate in a surprising national election-night success. [double YEA!]

“It is too early to tell what will happen on Iraq, but you will probably see a far more hawkish position and confrontational tone to their approach,” Daschle said. [Thank goodness!]

Daschle credited President Bush with a wise approach to campaigning, traveling around the country and communicating a message that stirred voters into action. [Shouldn't have underestimated that cowboy!]

“The president ought to feel good this morning, and I congratulate him. We had a president who talked a lot about 9-11, the war in Iraq, and North Korea. It precluded us from breaking through, talking about issues like the economy, education and health care,” he said. [wah-wah!]

The biggest immediate concern under the new Republican Senate power structure is the absence of a balance of power, Daschle said. [daschhle you've got much nerve calling what you do 'a balance of power'! You wouldn't know balance of power if it bit you on the arse. All you want is complete power so you can control Americans in the way YOU think they should live. Oh, and to keep your lavious life style intact.] [snip] (this is one long whiny story, but I just loved the pic!)

I'm really, really, sore from my tumble down those hard marble steps, but I will live. It's suppose to be 64 degrees here today. I'm thinking I might wash my kitchen windows.
