Have been absolutely stunned and amazed at the number of "churches" that don't seem to want to be involved in feeding the hungry!

I consider feeding anyone to be nearly a sacrement. It's something Jesus did. How can Christians not feed people? Unless it was to their detriment?

Good evening John..

There was a thread here the other day about one of those pumpkin cannons that would shoot a 10 pound pumpkin over 4000 yards!

No, not to their detriment at all. Loaves & Fishes is completely self-funded through grants and contributions, we have our own commercial kitchen and only need dining rooms. We supply dining room mangers, all the servers/cleaners/etc. from our 800-900 strong group of volunteers, security and even pay for the gas/electricity/water/garbage that we use.

Some churches feel that their members would be unsettled by having "poor people" come there to eat. AND, I have to confess, that a couple of churches have actually put this to a vote and their congregations don't want to feed the poor and homeless. Go figure, I can't!
