AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 655) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 6, 2002 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

THE SENATE HAS BEEN LIBERATED!!!

THE DASHCLEAN CAPTIVITY HAS COME TO AN END!!!

In the pre-game analysis yesterday, the media pundits, the media talking heads, the leftist prognasticators who are all visionary gave the following pronouncements:

The demoflops would either take control of the House or reduce the GOP majority.

The demoflops would hold on to, or increase, their majority in the Senate.

The demoflops would take a majority of the state houses.

The demoflops would win in the state of Florida.

Now that the game has been played, and the contest settled, it is time to look at the scoreboard.

The headline in today's Washington Pravda says it all:

GOP WINS BOTH HOUSES

1. House - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has at least maintained their current majority. The current status is:

GOP - 226
Criminal Party - 204
Can't Decide Which Party - 1

There are still four races that have not been decided. These are:

CO 07 - GOP leading 48-46% with 88% counted
LA 05 - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidates with 66% of the vote
NM 01 - GOP losing 49-51% with 98% counted
TX 23 - GOP losing 47-52% with 74% counted

2. Senate - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has gained absolute majority. The widow Carnahan has lost her race, so applying Missouri law, Daschle is no longer the Illigitimate Majority Leader, and resumes his correct title of Minority Leader.

LATE BREAKING - MINNESOTA CALLED FOR COLEMAN!

GOP - 51
Criminal Party - 46
Can't Decide Which Party - 1

There are still two races left to call:

Louisiana - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidate with 51% of the vote South Dakota - Thune(R) leads by 949 votes with 99% counted

3. Governors - demoflops FAILED. The GOP retains a majority of the state houses.

GOP - 26
Criminal Party - 19
Can't Decide Which Party - 0

There are still five races to decide:

AL - Incumbent demoflop leads by 3,139 with 100% counted. Likely recount.
AZ - GOP losing 44-47% with 99% counted. Likely recount.
OK - GOP losing by 6,357 votes. Likely recount.
OR - GOP losing 47-48% with 76% counted.
VT - GOP leading 45-42% (13% for 8 minor candidates) with 96% counted.

The demoflops hoped to legitimize Carnahan. They failed.

The demoflops hoped to win in Minnesota with Mondale. They failed.

The demoflops hoped to cashier Jeb Bush in Florida. They failed. JEB WINS BY SEVEN POINTS! NO RECOUNTS, HANGING CHADS, OR MISSING ELECTRONS HERE!!

The demoflops hoped the voters in Northern Virginia and Tidewater Virginia would willingly vote to raise their own taxes. They failed - on both counts.

The demoflops hoped to make the election a referendum that would denounce the President. The President picked up the gauntlet. THE DEMOFLOPS FAILED IN EVERY CATEGORY POSSIBLE!

IT IS A COMPLETE DEFEAT FOR THE CRIMINAL PARTY.

Tomorrow - we get down to business. But...

TODAY - WE RELISH OUR FULL VICTORY.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Bit - what about all the gloom and doom stories the media were selling that the election outcome wouldn't be known for days, if not weeks? Everything was altogether far too close for anyone to accurately decide on November 5.

Well...

We all awoke on November 6 and all of the races that mattered had been decided. It was known who was in control of the House. It was known who was in incontrovertible control of the Senate. It was known who commanded a majority of the governorships.

And the media pundits are left without their month-long story.

I cannot stand McAuliffe. Bragging about how they made the Bush family spend money!!! Do you believe that? What a crock of stuff that guy is!

I bet it's on the DNC web site. He always has his messages posted there!

David Aspin said to contrast McAuliffe's speech with the very gracious concession speech that Mondale gave, and asks a guest who the democrats would rather follow? HAHAHA!

The doom and gloom was all media-engineered: It was reported in The American Prowler that both major newspapers publishing 'polls' of the Coleman-Mondale race both used sample sizes less than the generally accepted 1,000 minimum normally used to attain the +- 3% margin of error!!

The Pioneer Press/Minn. Public Radio poll, which had Mondale winning 47%-41%, had something like a 400 sample size; the Minneapolis Star Tribune had a sample size of 960.

So when does it stop being spin or bias, and becomes out-and-out lying and electioneering???

As somebody on the other thread said, they STILL don't get it; America is TIRED of that kind of politics.

He was downright insulting to Bush, IMO.

The press spouting off the same stuff terry did. Talk about chips on their shoulders. They are trying to spin this into a victory for the dems because not enough seats to block a filibuster.

Well -

Here's some more math for MacAwful to chew on....

At the start of the festivities yesterday, demoflops enjoyed an EIGHT SEAT advantage in the Senate - 37 to 29 (the 37 includes the one vote from the turncoat Jeffords, an "independent").

That's EIGHT seats going into an election where only 34 seats are up for grabs. To even achieve parity under these circumstances, the GOP had to win 21 out of the 34 races. They actually won 22, and that total could go as high as 24 depending on the outcome of certain court challenges in South Dakota and the runoff in Louisiana.

But even assuming we don't - all MacAwful and his forces had to do last night to have a working majority in the Senate was to win 14 of 34 races - about 41% of the competitions. He couldn't pull that off.

Instead, the GOP won fully 65% (NEARLY 2 OF EVERY 3 RACES RUN!!), and that may, when all is said and done, be as high as 71%.

That is ONE HECK OF A TROUNCING, Mr. MacAwful - and there is NO WAY you can spin yourself out of it.

Terry - WADR (and you don't deserve much), with both the governor and Senate races, you didn't have to reach anything resembling a 50% win rate, but you had your butt handed to you last night. Big time.

I think MacAwful is rapidly earning the title of SoreLoserman in his own right!
