So any numbers are suspect until after the polls close? Hmmm.

Is that why Brit was looking worried mid-afternoon as he previewed the evening's coverage??
To: Bitwhacker; Utah Girl

it seems VNS just walked out on the networks.. Considering it is a consortium of five socialist networks and the token conservative (Fox), does this mean they couldn't find enough demoflops to call races for the criminal party?

I think so...

STATEMENT ISSUED BY MARC RACICOT ON DNC ELECTION DAY STRATEGY"Because of the Democrats' exhausting inability to address issues of urgency and importance to the American people, the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee has attempted to breathe life into an otherwise confusing and scattered agenda through the use of wild and wacky allegations of misconduct. Without a record of accomplishment or leadership, without ideas or vision, without truth or accuracy, Democrats have embraced a desperate Election Day doomsday strategy. They have apparently come to believe that there is nothing left to be done other than to rely upon the politics of fear, fabrication and falsehood."

Yea, I'm thinking the same thing..they aren't getting the poll results they want...so it's easier to call the system flawed, then to state the obvious...the Dems are losing this time 'round.

Maybe the real numbers would demoralize the demoncrats.

It sure looks like the news they had to report to the networks wasn't the news the networks wanted. I am STILL going to think POSITIVE!
Oh year, strayed from my diet tonight, just went down and bought me a big ole hamburger, shame on me.
To: Chairman_December_19th_Society
FINALLY there is man in the RNC that has some of those things Neets had removed from her dog.

You are allowed to stray from your diet on special occassions. As long as you don't make a habit of it. grin!

You felt sorry for Mondale?!! I felt about as sorry for him as I'd feel for the average spore of Anthrax. He's part of the problem, Bit .... NOT part of the solution.
To change the subject pretty drastically ~~~ I have a stupid computer question (well, it's not the computer that's stupid ..... it's me). The last few days when a new browser window opens (in FR but also on other sites also) it's little ...... about half the size of the monitor rather than full-sized. It's a real pain. The main sites are full-sized .... it's just opening a new window from within a site that goes miniature.
Does anyone have any idea what I might have done to change a setting somewhere to make this happen? I use Win98 and IE (version 6.x I think).
How do I fix it? Kindergarten-level instructions, please. When it comes to computer stuff, I'm as dumb as a Florida 'rat.

I promise, I DO have a glass of grapefruit juice, does that count?
To: Molly Pitcher
Molly, I wouldn't think so. I think it was just last night's show that Brit announced that Fox would NOT be using VNS for their exit polling. The impression was given that Fox had set up their own people to do it. But having an army of that size is almost mind-boggling! Did anybody else hear this?

Just remember, the road to Hell is paved with good cheeseburgers ;-)
To: Utah Girl
Chocolate is on early evening menu. Select beverages waiting in case of need.
Like that VNS folding. Maybe things will pick up when real results come in.
To: A Citizen Reporter
No don't remember hearing that ...So that network at least was already prepared to not use VNS...
To: Bitwhacker
Whew, I am safe then I got a HUMBURGER!
