AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 654) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 5, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/05/2002 4:10:06 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

ELECTION DAY!! DO NOT FORGET TO VOTE!!

In 2000, it was decided that Democrats should vote on Wednesday. Not enought took advantage of that offer, so this year, to cut down on lines in polling places, something new will be tried.

Through special arrangement with certain folks in Canada - who, because of the extent of their magnanimity wish to remain nameless - it is now possible to dedicate special polling places just for the use of Democrats.

Democrats, think of this as your own special voting district. Republicans are to vote in the United States - no Republicans whatsover will be allowed to vote in Canada today.

On the other hand, Democrats should take the opportunity to drive north of the border and vote there. No lines - gone will be the complaints of having to wait to vote. No polling monitors - you can vote as many times as you want. You will be able to come home refreshed with the knowledge that you were able to cast thousands, even tens of thousands of votes for your candidate - and no one will so much as hassle you.

So don't delay. The north beckons. If you are a Democrat, hop in your car, drive north, cross the border, and vote. In fact, so good is this program, there are Republicans who will be more than glad - once they have cast their vote in America, because this special offer is not open to them - to drive you and other voting age (in other words, anyone who can recognize a crayon) members of your family (you will have to make your own arrangements to transport dead people) into Canada to your special polling places. (This offer, however, is only one way - you will have to make your own arrangements to return to America).

Democrats - Canada. That's where your vote should be.

[Good only on November 5, 2002. Not good with any other offer, and may not be exercised by Republicans. Offer applies to any definition of family that may be provided by a card carrying Democrat. For further details, see the back of your Rice Krispies box - they might be there. Certain other restrictions apply. No actual guarantee of voting ability is made or warranted. No ballots will be cast on behalf of the Democrat voter by the Republican. If, in fact, you are a Democrat, and you could not actually vote in Canada, complaints will be taken on November 4, 2002. No Canadians were harmed during the preparation of this offer.]

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I made the rather embarrassing mistake (for my daughter) of telling the polling people it was my daughter's first time voting. As daughter pulled the curtain to exit...she received a standing ovation. :-)

Good thing she is an understanding young lady AND she loves her MaMa. My goose could have been cooked.

Three more votes for Pataki and others in our party.

Racicot did an excellent job last night on O'Reilly. Very low key, a nice contrast to the blustery MacAuliffe. My mom made the observation that the Republians have kept to the high road during this election, and the dems have not. Time will tell if it makes a difference at the polls.

Racicot has been very big in my book since he did such a great job during the nightmare that was election 2000. Wasn't it strange about the Senate race in Montana, how the pubbie dropped out because of vicious Rat ads insinuating that he was homosexual, and then, getting back into the race at the last minute? I was hoping Racicot would step in and let us do a tit for tat to those Rats. I guess he is needed more where he is now.

He was the reason for '94, and he is the reason they lost the races they pointed to as crucial

That is just not true. The Republican gerrymandering was the reason for 1994. Only Ross Perot kept it from happening in 1992.

If it were true the Clinton approval rating of 58 percent and his victory for president would have won the house for the Democrats in 1996. Clinton has was within 4 points of Dubya's current approval numbers in 1998 and 2000. In fact the Democrats got more votes for the House in 2000, than the Republicans did. Yet the Republicans won the house in 2000.

There are now 202 gerrymandered safe Republican districts. There are 192 Gerrymandered safe democrat districts. There are 17 additional districts where the Republicans have 10 percent or more registered voters than do Democrats. 202 plus 17 is 219. Two hundred nineteen seats is one more than it takes to control the house. There are 11 toss up seats. If the Republicans win 6 of those toss up seats the house will have the exact same makeup it does today. The Democrats can not hope to win the house until 2012 after the house seats are redistricted again. That is one reason for their huge efforts to win Governorships this year. They can never win the federal house if they don't control the state houses in the redistricting years.

The Senate is another matter. But for most people (57 percent) Clinton was a good president. Republicans hate him. But don't delude yourself that the public in general does. If you think the general public shares your moral and political views you are indeed sadly mistaken. This nation is evenly divided. There are as many that love Clinton as hate him.

There is one person no successful politician can lie to and have success... that is himself.
