AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 653) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 4, 2002 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our Freedom, die in vain!!

Yesterday, a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Alaska, south of Fairbanks. The quake was felt as far away as New Orleans. Only one injury has been reported. The Alaska Pipeline is intact, but shut down this morning. Some support structures are broken about 50 miles south of Delta. Damage exists on the Alaska Highway. There is also some damage to the Parks Highway, as shown in the following photo:

Zogby has Jeb Bush with a 15-point lead going into the last day before the election.

Mondale still leads Coleman, but only by 5 percentage points.

Carnahan and Talent are tied in the Zogby poll, both at 46%.

The New York Times is conceding the Republicans will likely make gains in the House.

And authorities are investigating whether a shooting in Clinton, Maryland, was related to the sniper. While previously not believing that to be the case as it didn't fit the MO - the victim was shot several times at close range, but still managed to survive, authorities are taking another look because a laptop computer owned by the victim was among the items recovered from the sniper's car.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I'm over at NRO, they have a blog site called "The Corner". Here is what Stephen Moore said about this election: "If the market is below 8,500 the Republicans lose, if it's above 8,500 they win." Today's close: 8571.60.

We can also send in our predictions and win a prize if we are right. Here is the URL:

Go for it Dog - put it under Vanity and see how it flys. After my semi-tragic experience with the "Can you believe it?" posting last evening, I'm loathe to ever post another one.

Oh well, it appeared in the mailbox, and I was highly motivated to get the 'packers message out there. ;-)

Let's roll guys. Just a few more hours to go.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I don't even know how to send it to you. I think I'll just have to wait and take some lessons from my daughter. The picture is on a navy blue background, so probably won't scan very well.

But THANKS for the offer!

No worries! If your daughter is able to get it scanned to your hard drive, you can just email it to me as an attachment. (I just want to see the picture, I have ulterior motives...)

Molly, I've always believed his state of mind was/is in question. He said during his campaign that he would be responsible for everything on his watch. So far, he has not accepted responsibility for anything,(not even monika, it was she who chased him), except that which our President Reagan began during his watch as President. That was cleaning up the financial mess the democrat carter did, plus previous administrations. The weasel constantly praised himself on his fiscal prowress and employment for the underlings. I personally think x42 is an arrogant, self-centered, self-absorbed, haughty, supercillious, contemptuous, money grubbing, fraud of a human being. Other than that, he's not a bad guy.

BAD SIGN FOR ERSKINE [John Hood]:
The national media and pundits are saying that Democratic Erskine Bowles continues to close the gap against Republican Elizabeth Dole in North Carolina's Senate race. Maybe. But a contra-indicator is how the two candidates spent their Sundays. Bowles sprinted across the state to speak to three black church congregations and campaigned furiously with actresses Alfre Woodard and Cicely Tyson. Dole, on the other hand, took most of Sunday off. She went to her hometown church, dropped by her campaign office, and then ran "personal errands" the rest of the afternoon. Was this hubris? Was it foolish complacency? No, I think it was a sign that Dole's not-at-all naïve campaign aides think the GOP get-out-the-vote efforts are running smoothly. As one newspaper put it, on Sunday "Erskine Bowles preached and Elizabeth Dole prayed." She doesn't appear to be the one with a touch of hubris.

You know, UG and Mozie, there are only 2 types of people I envy, ballerinas and singers. It's cause I can't toe dance and can't carry a tune in a bucket, but do enjoy watching and listening to those who can do those things. You are so lucky. However I do read a lot and paint, even though I'm not artist, I just paint.

"How could one be NOT interested?"

I will never understand that either. For as long as I can remember, politics was almost always a part of our family's dinner conversation. When I was in high school, we were always discussing what our liberal teachers of "social studies" were teaching endoctrinating us with, and my Dad would give us the best ideas for rebuttals, the next time the subject came up. I think that's why I was working on campaigns by the time I was 14 years old.

It's in my blood, and I don't mind all the phone calls.....as long as they're from pubbies! But in this state, you get phone calls from both sides. I have some friends would are not as interested in politics as I am, and they are pretty burned out with it all at this point. I have one friend who answers the phone, (no matter WHO is calling him)....."I already voted"!

Just got a phone call from the head of the Indiana Republicans, who was an owner of the furniture store I worked at. He is doing good as the IRC chair...wanted to make sure everyone was voting for Republicans.

None of this effort was done under the previous State Chairman. These calls are a good thing, IMHO.

Best wishes on the offer!

Lotteries are self-imposed taxes for the stupid and poor - I hope you guys vote it down, as Texas did not.

Have you ever seen Tom Daschle at one of the Senate Majority Leader press conferences? He NEVER looks the reporters in the face, he is always gazing at some spot on the table. No eye contact.

But, but gc, alpaca pellets can be used fresh on plants and not harm them. He doesn't have the where-with-all of alpaca pellets, he destroys every thing he comes on contact with. Snail stuff......yep.

Miss Marple, I just received a call from the Cornyn campaign I am like you I do not ever remember these many calls from the Republicans. Do you think that this is a Karl Rove strategy?

tilacum, thank you for the welcome. It is nice to be here. I mentioned about being at the rally this morning I thought that Cornyn and Rick Perry looked very confident. I can't say the same for Dewhurst.

My daddy taught me that you never trusted a man who would not look you in the eyes when talking to you. But, there is a reason for this, the eyes can tell when you are sad, when you are glad, when you are sick or well, when you are lying or not lying, when you are in love or just faking it. yep, he knows this and this is the reason he never looks people in the eyes.

Several improvements, due to President Bush, Karl Rove, and Marc Racicot:

1. Grass roots enerigization.
2. Watching for fraud, and calling the dems on it.
3. Positive support for candidates, even those who are not 100% with the President (like Coleman).
