In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!
Bella, remind me to send you the updated student roster this evening.
DINNER CONVERSATION
WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"
HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"
WIFE: "Why not - don't you like being married?"
HUSBAND: "Of course I do."
WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you re-marry?"
HUSBAND: "Okay, I'd get married again."
WIFE: "You would? (with a hurtful look on her face)."
HUSBAND: (makes audible groan).
WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"
WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."
WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?"
HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."
WIFE: - - - silence - - -
HUSBAND: "Aw man....."
(white-out)
One day, while God was looking into the Garden of Eden, he noticed Eve skinny-dipping in the river....
"Damn!! I'll NEVER be able to get THAT smell out of the fish!!"
Can I get a homework extension? Pleeeeeeeeeease??? [bambi eyes]
You rang?
Anyway, I've got to make like a defenseman and get the puck out of here because there's work afoot. I'm hoping to remain insensate until Wednesday some time in case your election goes horribly wrong. Bye.
I'm going to be stuck inside a polling place for about 5 hours tomorrow so won't be able to get too much campaigning time in tomorrow.
Right now my hope is that the weather will cooperate. Cold won't' be a problem - but if it is as gray and overcast tomorrow as it is right now, it's going to effect turnout.
Look at what Babs is up to now. This is one supercilious person.
I hope FR has enough bandwidth for it.
Are you working tomorrow or at home?
Cold's the problem here. It's been below freezing nights for a week here -- we usually don't even see that midwinter. But it looks like the ridge of high pressure that's produced that may hang around until Wednesday, continuing to bring us bright sun. (Painfully so. My Seattle troglodyte eyes aren't used to such bright sun. Ouch!)
Apathy is also a problem. Despite the fact that we've got some horrendous tax&spend issues on the ballot, reports are that voters are going to stay away in droves.
What in the name of Beelzebub has crawled up HER bunghole lately?
