Hi, everyone, from Paris. Today Mr. M and I had the pleasure of Timeout's company, and that of her friend, for lunch at a restaurant - Le Vieux Bistro - near Notre Dame. (It's now 7:25 p.m. here).

We took pictures; she'll post them when she gets home, unless she can find an internet cafe here and figure out how to do it. Anyway, we had a great time and I'm here to tell you she's a lovely person, but of course we all knew that! Is there a Guild member who is not? She even had her pearls with her.

I also want to say how important VOTE-SMART.org is. You can find out everything about your candidate and the opponent. Click on their NPAT, it is a very long survey about all the issues that effect their office.

I have been trying to get threads started about Vote-smart but they die. I want people to be informed about their voting. I have been amazed at some answers from candidates that I thought were conservative, but really are quite liberal.
