I read about that book and how Carter and the Democrats tried to use the Soviets to stop President Reagan. It's simply amazing. Can you imagine what the news coverage would be if it had been a Republican president who was trying to do the same to a Democrat?

The same goes for the North Korean nuclear program. Although it's maybe too early to tell, I doubt that story will be on the radar screen in a few days, but if it was a Republican who had aided their nuclear program, we'd never hear the end of it.

I can imagine cartah running to the soviets asking them to undermine Candidate Reagan. He spread the rumor that Candidate Regan and running mate Bush asked the Iranians to hold the embassy prisoners until Candidate Reagan became President, making cartah look weak. The news media even printed that RM Bush actually flew to Switzerland to negotiate with the Iranians before the election, via Concord jet then flew back home the same day via same. Now we all know that was a bag of beans and hot air, President Reagan and VP Bush would never do that. While president, cartah also let the Panama Canal go, instead of renewing the lease, now we have the chinese controlling both ends of the canal. Carter has become nothing but a press seaking individual, he wasn't much of a president. During his administration our interest rates were around 21 and 22%. We could drive from our home, here in central Texas to Dallas via interstate and probably see one tractor-trailer (18-wheeler). In my minds eye, x-president carter is still not much.
