I was reported to the moderator for expressing my view that this poster's existence as a separate entity was questionable. I don't, of course, know who reported me, but I did see varina davis pointedly thanking the moderator on this thread.

I have reported some recent posts which were personal attacks on me. I hope the moderator will remove them and tell the posters to stop doing that. I have also reported a post, complete with thinly-veiled profane names, that was very clearly a personal attack on another poster.

I never used to hit the "abuse" button, Jolly Green, but if that's the proper remedy rather than sarcasm and continually answering what I consider to be inaccurate or untrue statements, then I'll use it.

If I get banned b/c the moderator is tired of hearing about it, I invite you to check around. You can find me and talk to me as torquemada5, on another forum. You'll have to guess which one--I don't want to mention it on Freerepublic's webspace.

I lived w/o posting on Freerepublic for years, just visiting it often and enjoying the articles/posts and the conservative atmosphere. I can do that again if I am forced from the site. I'd like to stay, but there are an awful lot of rules and I don't think I've finished reading all there is on the subject. I sincerely hope the Robinsons do track down those double identities, b/c such devices are a waste of time.

You've successfully countered a great deal of misinformation and misplaced emotion about this case with your concise, logical, accurate posts. Keep on keeping on--I'll be reading and enjoying every word you say!

What I see being posted is trying to figure who is the biggest sinner involved and trying to peg the abduction on them. That could very well be the case. I don't know, and no one here knows.

That is a gross over simplification. Not only did Ricci have an extensive violent criminal record, association with the Smarts, BUT he wouldn't account for his whereabouts and the Jeeps whereabouts during a critical period. If he could have been easily absolved, don't you think would have provided clarification? You are also ignoring the fact that LE has him as the prime suspect and they KNOW far more than we.

Americas Most Wanted had an update on the case tonight. It has an interview with Ed and Lois, shows recent video of the family walking towards church, has an interview with Chief Dinse, shows Moul's garage and the Jeep, and talks about the mystery man who picked Rick up on the 8th.

What, exactly, does your post here add to the discussion of the Smart case?

If you can get posts deleted with impunity, but others can't get clearly inflammatory personal attacks by you and certain other recent sign-ups deleted and dealt with, then I will be back in my previous incarnation of torquemada5. You know where. I wish the best to Freerepublic and will continue to read it and enjoy its refreshing conservative atmosphere.

Devil, is it that you are unable to quote me correctly.....or just unwilling? I didn't ask why the searches had stopped......I cited a SOURCE which showed no searches scheduled past Sept. 14. For your convenience, I'll repost it so that you (and others) can reread what I actually posted......

According to the Smart family's website, there have been no searches scheduled by the Elizabeth Smart Search Center since September 14. Has local volunteer activity in this case suddenly come to a standstill?
