Ok, So what's the deal with "5", I have a general idea of what it is but i want specifics. You see it everywhere and in all forms, what the heck is "5"?, other than the number after 4, before 6. Did Freepers start this trend?

It is a method of shouting down all dissent. If you have any questions about any facet of the current state of the Bill of Rights or how much power the government is acquiring, you can expect to be bum-rushed and drowned out with the number '5'.

Now, you would think these people would actually try to refute arguments presented before them, but no. No, these people (who would be very comfortable wearing brown shirts) attempt to squelch all debate with this response.

I've seen it. But just posting "5" is simply an accusation without any substance. It's not there to add anything to the debate, but to prevent it. If someone came in that could objectively be considered a liberal disruptor, the AMs would have them out of here. I saw a boatload of 5's posted today, and not one flagged an AM. Why is that?
