Ok, So what's the deal with "5", I have a general idea of what it is but i want specifics. You see it everywhere and in all forms, what the heck is "5"?, other than the number after 4, before 6. Did Freepers start this trend?

And all this time I thought it was a visual representation of "unexciting". Tilt your head 90 degrees to the left and imagine the poster in profile.

It's shorthand for "I don't have an original thought to add." An appropriate rebuttal to the unoriginal, baseless and all-around idiotic proclamations of intellectual superiority by the puny minds of those who compare the U.S. of today to the Germany of the 1930's and/or the Soviet Bloc...besides, it takes more effort to find these fives than it does to write most of the pathetic drivel that passes for anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-Republican "original thought".

I know he would use it one me if he didn't think I was a citizen of a country that can retaliate with disproportionate force. I am an American, and he has not demonstrated that he is willing to use posion gas on a nation that can vaporize him at will.
So, why invade Iraq? I am all for helping the Iraqi people throw him off, but they look to be too low in character to do that. I just don't think we can impose a good government on a craven people.

You forgot to add our "conservative friends" in the Libertarian Party. It takes 5 of them to cover all of the diverging ideas from the LP on a single subject.

I just don't think we can impose a good government on a craven people. They are craven because they are under Hussein's thumb.
A good government will eventually make a good people.
