Ok, So what's the deal with "5", I have a general idea of what it is but i want specifics. You see it everywhere and in all forms, what the heck is "5"?, other than the number after 4, before 6. Did Freepers start this trend?
Free Republic: Where Things Haven't Been What They Used To Be Since the Day After We Opened.
True. But the line between progress and bullshit really isn't that fine of a line.
Sometimes with libertarian help (Cantwell, Reid, . . . Bowles?).
Let's label them.

It is a method of shouting down all dissent [2- denial of reality]. If you have any questions about any facet of the current state of the Bill of Rights or how much power the government is acquiring [1- hysteria], you can expect to be bum-rushed and drowned out with the number '5'.
Now, you would think these people would actually try to refute arguments presented before them, but no. No, these people (who would be very comfortable wearing brown shirts [4- name calling]) attempt to squelch all debate with this response [5- projection].

And taken all together, they attempt [3- thought control].
For months, a certain clique on Free Republic has belittled any supporter of the President, any supporter of Republicans, any supporter of a hawkish military stance. They mock, they taunt, they call names. They love to throw out Nazi comparisons, while they post what can only be described as propaganda. And when that clique gets what they have been dishing out, the whining is just unbelievable.
Perhaps the hysterical crowd should not have run around calling everyone "statists" or "bush-bots" or "jack booted thug lovers" or doing any other mindless name calling designed merely to shout down a view contrary to the clique's, and to intimidate.
Of course, because of denial and projection, they will never realize that they brought this on themselves.
Weren't you a big opponent of project TIPS?
Considering the amount of "logic and reasoning" that go into opposing arguments, which is none at all, yes, it is appropriate. Drawing parallels with the U.S. and the Soviet Union and 1930's Germany is what is really silly, juvenile and a sign of a weak mind.
He would never do that. He's not a stalker, you know.
Jekyll and Hyde? Two-faced? Liberals pretending to be conservatives?
Leftists X 5
[EJ getting jealous?]
Do you honestly believe, that Mr. Robinson's "rules" are fairly applied to ALL? &;-)
YES.
If you have an issue with the rules, take it up with Jim.
