I am calling MSN right now to give them a piece of my mind. The Emmy's is not news. Malibu Barbie having an eating disorder, now THAT'S NEWS!

So, are we to conclude that if it has nothing to do with government, politics or Barbie it's not worthy of a live thread in the News catagory?

I really wish someone would give us a definitive answer, preferably BEFORE the Oscars.

Here's one for the dims to counter for that great pic we have of the she beast and the baby...

President George W. Bush holds a baby while greeting the crowd after he spoke at Trenton Mercer Airport in New Jersey September 23, 2002. Bush was in New Jersey to attend a fund raising event for Republican senatorial candidate Douglas Forrester. (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters)

My caption? My goodness, you're even better looking up close!

I would think that the powers that be would recognize that many folks enjoy these threads as generally a welcome break from our business as usual and even the stated purpose of FR.

It is impossible for normal people to do the same stuff all day and all night without soon becoming whack-jobs. As Mo1 thoughtfully linked over on FReeople - even the four hour erection may not be the best of things to have going on.

FR news thread should reflect America's news and interest of the hour, and for a select few nights of the year, The Guild does an excellent job doing just this.

No news thread - no peace
