In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Coherency is not necessary in the WFTD classroom.

My mothers cooking when I was a child and dad worked shift work consisted primarily of hamburger or tuna helper. occasionally mac and cheese, made with velveta. Dad did most of the cooking, until I was in my late teens when I took over that chore.
My grandmother was really the cook in our family and that is where I learned it from, but I never picked up her knack for baking.
I actually got shamed into trying to bake an apple pie by one of the men I worked with - when I would go to family in NYC for the holidays he would always send a half dozen pies to them - and he had baked them all. while my pies may not be picture perfect - but I will put my crust up against any professional's for tender ness and flakiness!!!!

My favourite line in all literature, the King of the Brobdingnagians to Gulliver, after Gulliver has explained to the King politics, war, etc. back in Europe:
"But by what I have gathered from your own Relation, and the Answers I have with much Pain wringed and extorted from you, I cannot but conclude the Bulk of your Natives to be the most pernicious Race of little odious Vermin that Nature ever suffered to crawl upon the Surface of the Earth."

Did you know that a lesbian with fat (or Brobdingnagian, if you prefer) fingers is considered well-hung?

A+ for my fellow smoker!
To: Argh
he's been pretty decent. no major mishaps lately. he does like to bark outside at 5am, at squirrels up the tree, which i am sure does not endear him to the neighbors, but heck, i am up, so everyone else might as well be....

Did you know that a lesbian with fat (or Brobdingnagian, if you prefer) fingers is considered well-hung? LOL. So is a lesbian with a Brobdingnagian tongue.

I have a few of those premade ones in the freezer, just haven't gotten around to using them.
The firs time I baked a pie with Jax, she had so much fun rolling out the crust, I have yet to be able to get away with the pre-made ones if she is around, which is always, because I only bake on weekends - why I don't know, that's the just the way it is.
