Not sure....
Jane, don't forget the Civil War Series tonite...
If you didn't come back online, I was going to tape it for you.
....Hubbybear & I flew out from Orlando to Boston.....both of us suffering from a virus/cold we'd picked up a couple days earlier.
...felt quite miserable....
Upon arriving in Boston, we rented a car, and started for Kennebunkport.
We only spent one night in Kennebunkport, but tried to do the round of shops found in Dock Square...anyway. (which was only a couple blocks from our Inn)
But we truly were dragging our poor, sinus blocked, pain racked, tired bodies from shop to shop.... finally settling at a seafood restaurant, where we were too tired to even enjoy the food.
(Doesn't sound like a fun trip yet, eh.....LOL!)
The next day, after good rest, we were better, and got up early to enjoy the fresh, cool air, and take a few pictures outside the Inn.
I spotted 2 shocking pink Adirondack chairs outside of a quaint shop across the way, and nothing would do but hubbybear take my picture reclining in the shocking pink Adirondack chair :)
We then took the scenic route to Bar Harbor......making sure we stopped at Walkers Point...on the way, and took more pictures.
It was picturesque :^)
We bypassed Bar Harbor that day, and went straight to Northeast Harbor to our Inn at the port.
The Inn has a restaurant with an outside terraced porch (for dining) and a view of the harbor.
Most picturesque :)
As we sat there idly relaxing & having dinner, down the landscaped terrace was a young man and his two dogs, playing & scampering.
Illstillbe, I swear it was Old Soul and Sparkles ..reincarnated in Bar Harbor.
They were having such a romp, and Sparkles was running, and yelping a bit, with her tail wagging & held high!
Old Soul was slowly creeping along with this ..'why can't she calm down'.. attitude :))
...occasionally, the young man would have to turn Old Soul on her back and check one of the paws.
Old Soul seemed to really enjoy just lying there doing nothing.....
..but the young man and Sparkles would get back in swing, and the young man would toss a ball, and Sparkles would gleefully run and get it.....
..and Old Soul would again find some reason to lie down & complain so the young man would have to attend to it :))
It was quite fun to watch :))
The next day we slept in (& missed church, first time in a long time!)...and later went for a drive up to Cadillac Mountain......one can see all the harbors from its top!!
We were following the same route we'd taken 18 yrs before......
...We found Jordan Pond House...again, and stopped in for tea & popovers ....
....and that evening, we finally made it to Bar Harbor proper, and tried to find the shack on the wharf that sold fresh lobster, steamed and ready to eat.
It was closed!
Soon after, I spotted the Internet Coffee House, and wrote y'all a note :)
....to be continued....
