We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Chancellor Schroder apologized to the US for the Hitler comparison. No word as to whether the German minister who made the remarks lost her job.
Tornadoes raked across Indiana yesterday afternoon as part of a severe weather front moving eastward.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Trill and bratling are at a concert being given by a friend's all female choir at one of the malls. I really wanted to go, but not with the fever. They are going to bring back pictures for me, but I forgot to give them the MP3 recorder. Sheesh.

There's no place like home!
God Bless America!
I'm tired......I hurried us to Logan by 11 this AM.....and our plane didn't leave until 4:30PM.....:^
...I was so afraid they wouldn't let my handpainted bouy get through inspections, that I wanted us there early.
It went through just fine :)
The best thing I saw Friday was the American flag :))
Crossing the border from Canada to the USA was so emotional, as we sat on the bridge, waiting our turn to be inspected......hubbybear had tears in his eyes......our beautiful flag was flapping in the breeze....
No offense, Canadians, but I missed seeing our USA flag the 11 days we were in your beautiful country.....
There's no place like home.....I missed you all.....
....sat in Logan today, while waiting for the plane, feeding money into the Internet machine, so I could read y'alls posts......:)))
I have lots more to tell, but I'm tired......so tired......and I'm not even making sense, am I .....
...need sleep....:)))
John, glad to see you made it home safely too!
I'm checking out for the night.
Fourteen angels and a medic or two to you.:)
Prayers for a healthier tomorrow.
It completely baffles me as to why this woman wouldn't stop. I would not have asked her to pay for the hospital since Lucy was out of our yard. But she could have at least stopped to see if she was okay. Witch. I wrote a Letter to the Editor about it and first thing Monday morning, I am going to try and get a petition started to MAKE the DOT put in speed bumps on our street. What if that had been a child???? If it had been, and she took off it would be considered a hit-and-run, and she would more than likely be spending a little time in the pokey. While I was waiting to hear the results of Lucy's xrays, I went outside to get some change for the soda machine. After I got the change, I looked skyward and said,
"O-KAY!!! I get the point already!! sheesh...are you almost done with me?? Isn't there anyone else out there that needs a wake-up call? PLEASE, for the sake of my sanity, would you let me at least BREATH between each crisis????? Go pick on somebody your own size!" I didn't know that there was someone standing behind me....ROFLOL!! She laughed and said, "Tough day, huh? I said, "No, tough month!! I realize that God never gives you anything you can't handle, but does He have to trust me so darn MUCH?" Sighs....
While I was at the vets office, I met a man and his mother whose ? dog had also been hit. We started talking and he had an ARMY t-shirt on, so I asked him if he was in the military. He said that he had been, but did not re-enlist .....He had served with the Special Ops guys when we bombed Bagdhad in 1998. He told me that they were there to conduct a military operation involving Saddam Hussein. 2 minutes before they were scheduled to go in, they got orders to retreat because Saddam had pulled his troops back. I asked him what made him decide to leave the Army. You want to know what he said??
"One of the reasons I left the Army because I could not afford to take care of a wife and infant son on $14,000.00 a year. I had no choice BUT to leave. But that was not the main reason. The main reason was because I, and many others in the military, detested Bill Clinton. We were embarrassed that he was our Commander In Chief, not to mention his disrespect for the US Military. He was a cheat, a liar, a scumbag and a loser. While we were over there risking our lives for America, which was our job, Bill Clinton had a party going on under his desk." Then I asked him what he though of the Florida Election fiasco, and mainly the subject of Gore not wanting the votes from our own soldiers stationed overseas to be counted. He said that it completely disgusted him. So I asked him if he liked George W. Bush...and this is what he said: "It is not really a matter of whether or not you agree or disagree with the President's views. It's not even really a matter of liking him. What it boils down to is very simple for those in the military: is the President respectful of the office he holds? Does he respect the military? Does he have confidence in his military? That's what matters...and President Bush is a great man, a compassionate man but he is also very determined man. I like him very much."
It's amazing to me how you can walk into a place and strike up a conversation with someone you don't even know. :-)
Everytime someone coughed or sneezed, I prayed 'oh please, protect me from those germs'.....
....We went on vacation with a baaaad cold, sinus stuff, and my ear hurt when we landed 15 days ago.....
..bless your heart, I think it's just something going around.
Drink lots of fluid stuff.....like juice, water, hot tea....and sleep!

Bless you, dear.....hope things are getting better soon.
...but where we were, everything was in French AND English.......
...and sometimes just French :^
I'm so glad to be back in the USA I could almost kiss the ground. :))
Glad we both made it back......
...it was so hot, it felt JUST LIKE FLORIDA!!!!!
And our B&B didn't have air conditioning!! :)
I brought back stuff for everyone in the family, except myself!
The only item I got for myself was made by this little lady who really needed the money, and it was a folkart toll painting on a bouy......she had it at this little church we visited, and I fit it into the suitcase somehow.
I was so afraid 'inspection folks' would think it a ....b**b.
...so good talking to you all again....:))))
I spent the last half hour copying photos from our local paper's web site so everyone could see what it looks like around here, and then right before I got ready to post it they changed the photos!!! AAARGH!
In case you missed it, we had a humdinger of a set of tornadoes move through here yesterday. I just got back on line late this afternoon...we were without power for over 24 hours. My freezer stuff is at a friend's, my grandson escaped injury when the tornado went right over his church school, and sections of the city are like a war zone.
I have seen your comments on your trip, and I am SO GLAD you are home! Sounds like you had a nice time!
Myself, I am grateful for the power being back on! Without power, no Fox News or Free Republic!!
But Korean? I was woefully underprepared. If I go back for a 90 day tour, I'll do some studying before hand. LOL!

I am not the one thinking, needless to say. LOL!
Welcome home, by the way! I missed your return, but now I can say I am SO glad to see you!
Important aside: use only stabilized gas in the generator. Sta-Bil is my brand of choice.
I'm glad to be home. I enjoyed my time, and was invited back (in the strongest terms). It was lots of hard work, and I loved every minute of it. Pictures will be tomorrow, I suppose. I've got to sort through operational issues and make sure there are no loose lips.

Night, john and all!
