We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Chancellor Schroder apologized to the US for the Hitler comparison. No word as to whether the German minister who made the remarks lost her job.
Tornadoes raked across Indiana yesterday afternoon as part of a severe weather front moving eastward.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
No, I don't know a thing about college football, except that now that boychild attends UW-Madison we are becoming Badger fans.
The game I was referring to was Carolina vs. Minnesota Viqueens, the team we cheeseheads love to hate.:)
I thought we eulogized that thing a long time ago. Just now getting rid of it???
Good to see you back here!!!:^)
Yuck.
Get better.
You can lie on the couch and watch feetball tomorrow. That should help.:)
What the heck, I'm on a roll ... may we be granted insight, fortitude ... a belief in the lasting things and a firm grip on faith, family and friends .. all the while keepin' in mind ...The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions, and not our circumstances. (Martha Washington) ... 'tude ... which is always appropriate, of course.
Is this a great day or what?! Our friends made it safely through the storms ... some friends have come back to us ... John! ... and pollyshy! ... and DJ! ...
So wondrous ... I am pleased.
LBKQ ... yes! I lived right outside of DeKalb! I love Illinois. I am surely thinking and *praying* for your daughter ... and her Mom. Not worry?! HAR! Not likely, me thinks ... though I had this same condition with all 3 of my kiddos.
gulfcoast6 ... in talking about the Civil War, when you said, " I feel so old today, I think I was there." ... I cracked up. Too funny.
DJ ... this has surely been a growing year for you ... and by sharing it with all of us ... you are spreading the bounty of His lessons and strengthening us all as well. Thank you.
In news y'alls need to know .... little kathy's camp hired an "expert" in race relations to help her campaign. His first official act was to call Ehrlich a Nazi. He was promptly fired ... and ...
I have not blown up any food items lately. *grins*
Bit and Neets ... Buy a bird! Do! Just think what fun you will have teachin' it things to say. HA!
Well ... I have depleted my wealth of nonsensical thisses and thats ...
Oh! Mozie ... I was going through some family pictures ... and I found one of me with a wee little piano ... which maybe had 22 keys ... stood about 3ft high. I got it for Christmas one year ... I'm standing on it ... probably wasn't what my parents had in mind. Later ... I so yearned for a piano ... I painted a keyboard on my Mom's kitchen table ... LOL!
Anxiously awaiting the next installment of Chairman's Excellent Adventures!
/bandwidth wastage ...
DJ, glad you're back and just in time, too!:-)
polly - Darn I missed you!! But news from you is the best, whether I'm here at the time or not...
HOB - You're going over to the Valley??
The first trip I remember there as a little girl, my parents took us to visit a very old lady...her family had been friends of my grandparents...
Anyway she told my sister and me tales HER grandmother remembered...about Indians and massacres and the settling of the Valley nearly 200 hundred years before.
My sister and I were looking for ghosts among the forests for the rest of the trip...
Ummm. yes. See, I was busy for a couple of months and...
LOL!
/john
John - Sounds like your 2 week vacation has caught up with you.**grin**.........Take care and feel better soon.
/john
Uh-oh ... stirrin' my imagination, you are Molly. *grins*
Not to worry ... like many(?!) this day ... I could not sleep last night ... too tired to take all y'alls on a journey backwards ... I can barely walk forwards. HA!
Wait! Is that a sigh of relief I'm after hearin'?!
Har!
Too much suspense here...Did you make it to the canyon floor, and back up??
Did Mrs. Chairman find any more pottery?
Did the pattern of rain everyday continue???
Don't leave in the lurch here!!:-))
And will this day ever end??!!!
I know we decided we'd all be sympatico with john and suffer jet-lag like symptoms! What friends we are!! LOL!
The glove has been thrown on the table ... and from our Patriot friend to boot ... I've not been here much myself, /john ... I shall give this some thought ... Ha!

Now, LAST week,..............
was another story.
But now I'm cool, calm, and collected, in total control of my faculties, at ease, at peace, in tune with the rhythm and harmony of nature...........and totally delusional.;^)
Gotta go play for a wedding...........it promises to be a doozy........everything from country to religious to classical to Chicago ("Colour My World.")
You're dad has two very devout prayer warriors on his side, you and Cammysmom.....I'm sure God will take good care of him. Sometimes, the "worst thing in the world" does happen to us...a tough illness, death of loved ones.....and you know? God always see you through. In the 23rd Psalm, David said, "yeah, though I walk through the Valley of Darkness I will fear no evil"....notice David didn't ask to NOT go through the Valley.......it's unavoidable......but we do have the promise that God will be with us.......
So, take care, get your dad the best care his physician can offer.....be positive!.....my oncologist firmly believed that laughter is the best medicine! Love God. Pray for His will...and step back and watch miracles being worked in your family. Now, your dad my not be miraculously cured......but your family will be drawn to each other and to God in a wonderful, powerful way.
Illness is part of the Fall, and not God's fault......but He said he would be with us when we went through the Valley....and I believe Him!
