AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 608) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 20, 2001 | All of Us

Posted on 09/20/2002 4:06:42 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Reaction in Congress to the President's draft resolution was wholly along partisan lines. Republicans hailed the resolution and said it should be adopted. Demonflops, notwithstanding the language was based largely on a former resolution sponsored by IML Daschle, said changes needed to be made. Such changes would include, if the illegitimate chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Levin, had his way, requiring the President to get UN authorization for an attack before starting combat.

US intelligence agenices are trying to track down a missing Sudanese Air Force pilot who, it is said, is planning to hijack an aircraft and fly it into the White House.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed below 8,000 yesterday.

And the White House is furious over a German official's remark comparing President Bush to former German leader Adolf Hitler.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Here's the response to all of this nonsense from Jesse Helms:

If Chancellor Schroeder succeeds in winning re-election through America-bashing then the U.S. Congress must seriously consider moving U.S. forces out of Germany and stationing them on the territory of other NATO allies.

More issues with weapons inspectors:

Pentagon officials said they were concerned that the Security Council would take at least six months until the inspections begin. They said the United States would have little control over the activities of the UN weapons inspection team, which probably would not include Americans. "That would be something that would be decided by the UN — not a happy prospect," Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress on Wednesday.

Nothing like having Time magazine print the DNC fax about Daschle and their new strategy word for word. This is appalling. Well, at least the photo of Daschle isn't flattering.

And the three-ring circus in Virginia continues...

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Prosecutors asked a judge Thursday to deny a news media request to release pleadings by accused Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, contending they are not proper motions that deserve First Amendment protection.

The motions kept secret under an Aug. 29 court order should not be treated as normal court pleadings because they contain threats, racial slurs and calls to action, the government said. They also may send coded messages to Moussaoui's al-Qaida supporters, prosecutors added.

The media, of course, want the documents released.

Grandma's never surfed at Malibu or caught a wave at Waikiki.
She's never seen a surf board; hang ten doesn't mean a thing, you see she's never met a beach bum ...

Well, this Grandma married a surfer ....... LOL!

Hubby used to surf .... many long years ago ....... though he was never part of the surfing culture.

Funny story - a few months after we got married, we moved to another town. At the time we only had a few belongings ...... no furniture at all ...... so we packed up everything in the car and took off. There were two objects that wouldn't fit into the car so we put them on top, using the roof racks. One of those absolutely mortified hubby, though there was no choice about doing it.

On one side of the roof racks was strapped the surf board (and in those days they were 9-10 feet long, not the little ones they use today) .....

..... and on the other side was the ironing board.

Hubby was soooooooo embarrassed!

Putin has a real concerns of domestic politics of Russia. His nation used to be superpower. If is not even much of a minor power today. So like all people who have fallen from high position to low, they have pride. A Russian who can stride the world stage and must be wooed by the US super power is a popular politician in Russia.

Thus it is quite understood that Putin will make noises that oppose the United States. In many cases Russian governemt releases information negative to our position. Then the US in the form of Bush or Powell calls asking for Russian support. The key is asking for Russian support. Once we do that, Putin hears our arguments and agrees to supply us. Putin knows full well if the help is not there, he will have zero influence.

It is a ploy that Bush has been using ever since he became president. Putin for domestic political reasons can not appear to be our puppet. So we make sure he never appears to be our puppet.

It is not good for Putin if he is only seen as a equal to Iraq or France. he must be seen as a equal to the American President. Bush has assured him the wires he has attached to Putin' arms and legs will remain invisible.

Did you have to un-install your previous version of Acrobat Reader before installing the new version or did the new one install ok over the old one?

I've checked and I've got version 4.0 but it sounds like it might be good to get 5.0.

It installs side-by-side with the old one - both will be on your computer. It doesn't seem to matter. Windows pulls the later version when you try to open a PDF document.
