Yes, I meant to point out that "technicality"...but it's still a reach since she never mentioned Swift.

Celluci quit, I believe, to become an ambassador for GWB...Canada? The Vatican? I can't remember which.

Anyway, I just thought it was an interesting slight to pubbie women and insight into the way lib women think of their "sisters" across the aisle.

;-) Thanks.

Our homes and families should be the safest of all havens - it takes a bit of work to keep them that way and over the years we've found that pretty flowers make a peaceful, loving statement for one and all to see.

But she did ask him why are you going to make seniors pay more for their healthcare, a charge that what'shergut made? grrrrrrrrrr!

citing a deteriorating relationship with the magazine's publisher Gruner + Jahr(snip)

She just doesn't mention that the deterioration is because her mag isn't selling anymore.

Seeeeee, that's what happens when you lie to people, Rosie.

You have to see that dress to believe it, and then it's hard to believe anyway.

What's up with showing that much skin, and no sack over her head? Where the heck was this fashion show - surely not in a mooselimb country I thinking.

Well, I think the show was in Beirut. So I don't know, maybe they get a special dispensation for something like a fashion show, or maybe the model just isn't one of them. Pretty daring though for that part of the world.

Everyone, please, please, please, read this. Hubby sent it to me via Email. You just have to read it. It's priceless!

Black-Jew Rift Widens After Southern Primaries

WASHINGTON — Participants in this month's Congressional Black Caucus conference say the defeat of two black House members in bitter primaries not only suggests a widening rift with Jewish Democrats, but trouble within the Democratic Party itself.

"People were talking retaliation," said Ron Walters, the director of the African American Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland, of last week's CBC events in Washington. "They were saying [presidential hopeful] Sen. Joe Lieberman is dead in the water, and so on and so forth."

The anger is emanating from reports that several outside Jewish special interest groups took a particular interest in defeating Reps. Cynthia McKinney, D-Ga., and Earl Hilliard, D-Ala., by fueling the campaigns of their respective Democratic primary opponents with thousands of dollars and an interest in seeing the incumbents defeated for their long-standing support of Palestinians. Both incumbents lost in stunning defeats. McKinney blamed the Jewish lobby and the Democratic Party for her Aug. 20 primary loss(snip)

Hilliard, too, is a fervent supporter of Palestinians, and lost in June 56-44 percent to opponent Artur Davis, who is also black and was supported heavily by Jewish special interest dollars.(snip)

Despite the building case against McKinney, political analysts agree that Jews, though traditionally loyal to the Democratic Party, have been moving further to the right since President Bush took office.

The president's support of Israel, combined with his "compassionate conservatism," has done a lot to soften their attitudes against Republicans in the last year.

Go "W" Go!

Read the rest of the srticle by clicking on the title. It goes on to say that other key Rats acknowledge this rif, BAWAWHAHA! Oopsie, seems their trouble in Rat-Land.

The latest scoop on Chelz (do NOT read if you have just eaten dinner...)

Chelsea Clinton's Absolutely Wild Gig
By Cathryn Conroy, Netscape News Editor

Chelsea Clinton may be brilliant--she IS a graduate student at the prestigious Oxford University--but this girl knows how to have fun. Exhibit A is her worldwide jaunts with lovey-dovey boyfriend Ian Klaus that keep the paparazzi so busy. Exhibit B is her star turn on the very hip, very hot "Absolutely Fabulous," the British TV show that is a smash on both sides of the pond.

That's right, Chelsea is going to act on TV. She is slated to appear in the Christmas special, according to the U.K.'s PeopleNews (no connection to PEOPLE magazine). Here's the plot line involving Chelsea's cameo: She will loiter near a store in which characters Patsy and Edna are shopping in the hopes of catching their eye so she can be in Patsy's magazine, a TV source told PeopleNews. The show stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as Patsy and Edna, and the two will reportedly make a whopping $310,000 each just for the Christmas special. No word on how much Chelsea will be paid. Chelsea keeps turning heads. Just days ago, PEOPLE magazine awarded her "the most shocking style moment of the year" when she turned herself into a sleek international fashionista. Her mom, Hillary Rodham Clinton, also earned a nod in PEOPLE's annual Best & Worst Dressed issue, but she landed on the "worst" list for full-length, dark blue ball gown with puffed sleeves.

**************************************************
Well, at least People put the Hildabeast on the worst list. I would have linked the picture of Chelz's new look, but the photo was the one from the Versace show, where her hair is straight, and she's got a ton of eyeliner on.

...uuuuuuuuhhhhhhh - I want to smoke what Ms. Conroy's smoking.

This will have to have its own thread if our tellies carry this tripe - it should be classic commentary material.
