Kapow! Zap! Zing! That article nails it, point after point. But the voice....no one mentions the delivery style (perhaps because to do so is shallow and petty :^) ). To me, it was distracting in its woodenness, lack of spontaneity, talking-to-a-three-year-old-child deliberate (I think) slowness. It sounded more like a SNL parody of Gore. He has handlers in every category so I would think a speech expert would have polished the style up a bit.

One has only to watch and listen to President Bush's sincere, easy delivery to realize how the human voice can move people to laughter, tears, cheering - whatever.

Not just his style, but the focus of the speech. This is something I can't understand either...how can his handlers let him do these stooopid things? I'm certain he believes he really gave an important, powerful speech...how can a guy who has been in politics so long be so clueless??

Maybe Al needs to bring back that $20,000/month "consultant" who put him in earthtones. Then again, maybe not.

Wait, Wait! I have it! More makeup! A Reaganesque hairstyle!

Oh. It has? Well ...
