For those who think Al Gore is even lower than his mentor, the Hero of Hope, you will like this piece from the Washington Post (of all places).
(Look Who's Playing Politics)

A predator wants to strike at the head. Now THAT is interesting! And the whole thing makes perfect sense now. Thanks, Nully.

Wow Cat...what an article!! That's a keeper!
I recommend everyone read this one...in the WP no less.
To: catpuppy
I'm not sure you can go much lower than Algore's mentor....
To: catpuppy
Quote from the article:
Politics are allowed in politics, but there are limits, and there is a pale, and Gore has now shown himself to be ignorant of those limits, and he has now placed himself beyond that pale.

GO NAVY !!! Didn't they just lose to Northwestern in football?
You must be talking about their bombing raids!

Another quote from the article...in the Washington Post!!!
Gore's speech was one no decent politician could have delivered. It was dishonest, cheap, low. It was hollow. It was bereft of policy, of solutions, of constructive ideas, very nearly of facts -- bereft of anything other than taunts and jibes and embarrassingly obvious lies. It was breathtakingly hypocritical, a naked political assault delivered in tones of moral condescension from a man pretending to be superior to mere politics. It was wretched. It was vile. It was contemptible. But I understate.

I'm not sure you can go much lower than Algore's mentor....Perhaps not but his mentor's "wife" approaches that level.

I heard a little of tiny tommy's Senate rant on Rush today. Inconceivably bizarre. Unbelievably foolish. I just love this...
I'm considering calling him and commending him for standing up like he did. Telling him he is casting a tall shadow over the American political scene. Asking him to get on his tip toes to thwart the war effort. Letting him know this is a step stool towards a great American Presidency.
But I don't think I could keep my voice from erupting...
Bwahahahaah!

Kapow! Zap! Zing! That article nails it, point after point. But the voice....no one mentions the delivery style (perhaps because to do so is shallow and petty :^) ). To me, it was distracting in its woodenness, lack of spontaneity, talking-to-a-three-year-old-child deliberate (I think) slowness. It sounded more like a SNL parody of Gore. He has handlers in every category so I would think a speech expert would have polished the style up a bit.
One has only to watch and listen to President Bush's sincere, easy delivery to realize how the human voice can move people to laughter, tears, cheering - whatever.
To: catpuppy
One scarey human er...thing attached to another.
To: Prentice
Prentice, did you happen to see Senator Zell Miller's reply to TinyTom, JuliusCaesarByrd and the other Dems who lied away the morning debate? It was fantastic. I wish that at least one Republican would find the B*LLS to say what Miller said.
To: okimhere
He has handlers in every category so I would think a speech expert would have polished the style up a bit.Not just his style, but the focus of the speech. This is something I can't understand either...how can his handlers let him do these stooopid things? I'm certain he believes he really gave an important, powerful speech...how can a guy who has been in politics so long be so clueless??
To: catpuppy
Good link - Kelly dropped the hammer on the wooden one with this article - what a treat to read. Thanks
To: okimhere
Maybe Al needs to bring back that $20,000/month "consultant" who put him in earthtones. Then again, maybe not.
Wait, Wait! I have it! More makeup! A Reaganesque hairstyle!
Oh. It has? Well ...
To: catpuppy
Maybe another Rolling Stone Magazine-type photo??
To: catpuppy
No I didn't get a chance to hear it. I hope it's as good as Kelly's...he's the guy who was fired as editor of the "New Republic" for dissing BJ.
Why in the word does Miller stay as a Demo? He's to the right of most RINO's already. Pupster...you need to go back to Ga. to convince this guy to make the final step in growing up...
To: Cuttnhorse
I know. A big, long primetime kiss for Tipper.
