Hi guys, I just notice a post missing 232. I have this information and there is nothing, nothing just that it was from jengaio. It was also posted to utah girl and all.

jengaio must have requested to have her posts deleted. I don't know, post 232 was very innocuous. Oh well.

Ugh, I was reading about that poor little girl's death today.

I saw the parents on Greta and Connie Chung tonight. They were pathetic. At least on Chung (wasn't Connie--a substitute) the prosecutor was also on and she indicated the abuse story is far worse than first reports.

* Ardyth Kennelly, The Peacable Kingdom, Houghton, Mifflin, 1949 --"Story of life and wifely jealousies in polygamous Salt Lake City in the 1890s."

Haven't read it.

Utah Girl, thanks! Pretty sure that's it. I will definitely look for it at the library. As I recall, it was not anti-Mormon, quite the opposite.

That story just breaks my heart. Apparently the parents held the little girl down and forced the water down her throat, they had their 7 year old daughter hold the little girl's hands behind her back. There were cuts and bruises around the little girl's mouth. I guess the child fought because she fell off the stool, hit her head, and then calmed down (well, duh.) The parents then made her exercise, which further depleted her electrolytes imbalance.

May I just say how grateful I am that I had loving parents? We sure weren't perfect kids, and we were reprimanded a lot. But if you told my mom and dad to do what was done to that little girl, they would have just gotten up and walked out.

One of the men I work with adopted a couple of little girls several years ago. They had been physically and sexually abused. The youngest girl was about 18 months old, she had a habit of going into the bathroom, and trying to flush her head down the toilet. His wife would have to make sure all the bathroom doors were locked. The three year old never did come around, and she was influencing the younger one, so they had to give her up, which broke their hearts. But both this guy and his wife just loved that little girl. She would sit and rock with her for hours, reading stories and singing songs to her. And the other little girl they had to give up, went to another home, and is doing quite well also. Anyway, the point to my story is, love goes a long ways towards healing hearts.

Yes, it was difficult to even listen to them. They were such cold fish! No spark of emotion at all. Just stared straight ahead. Their lawyer did a lot of the talking and even he sounded like he didn't believe their defense.

I'm so sick of this "bonding" and "counseling" crap, just more of the PC pit the county has fallen into during the past decade or so.

She did know about it, and was taking a shot at the Mormon-bashers who visit these threads and try to imply that every awful thing that happens in Utah must be caused by the Mormon religion. She was clearly not suggesting that the girl's death was a joking matter.

As a freeper, you are called by FR management not to engage in "spiritual warfare" outside of the Religion forum. And BTW, the argument that "it's okay because my religion requires me to do it" is a mighty slippery slope.

Oh. I don't pay much attention to the posts about religions, because I think the subject matter is irrelevant to this case.

Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.

These are the rules, there is no rule that you can't defend your faith when questioned.

there is something very wrong with these parents.

I think that it is possible that the family has been given information by LE that indicates that Elizabeth is no longer with us. I believe that LE pretty much knows who was behind the abduction and feels that Liz is almost certainly dead. I think they are still trying to build a case but with Ricci gone it is going to be difficult unless they find the body and even then if too much time has passed it could end up like the Chandra Leavy case.

But how do we know she hadn't already stashed some belongings in another place prior to June 5? It's possible.

I don't think it is possible that MK could tell a lie that could fool everyone involved for over three months. She heard a clear threat and saw what she believed to be a gun. For your idea to fly you must account for MK's part in it.

???

I just did a search in the general interest section for any posts by jengaio and found none. All of her remarks have been removed and this I think could only have been done at her request. Jen, if you're reading this we need your input in this forum. Come back Shane, Come back!

I received this e-mail from jengaio

You can post as much of this info on the thread as you want.

Devil just asked why certain posts were deleted. They were mine.

Innocuous, I think. At least I'm stymied as to why they're pulled. Honestly.

I'm also banned and don't know why. I wrote to Jim Robinson asking for an explanation, but probably won't hear back for a while.

Anyone got any ideas???

Personally, I wish they'd get to work in the radical Muslim countries. But alas, they only go to countries where the government approves their presence and activities, so I'd better not hold my breath.

I lived in the Persian Gulf for 15 months (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait). There is a stake in the region made up of about 15 branches (small congregations). In Saudi Arabia they had to meet in private residences because there are no official sanctions for any Christian services. In Kuwait the branch was able to meet in a home that was converted to a meeting house that was used for nothing else but worship services. They were not allowed to have any kind of sign or markings denoting what the building was used for. They could not teach non Christians the gospel and there is no official missionary presence. The Stake Center was in Bahrain but I never got there.
