It is the facts that they do know is what bothers me..
They know someone else was in the house...and in Danielle's room.

"It was the examiner who said the casue of death was indeterminate."
Yeah because her body was degraded.
Do you think that Chandra Levy was murdered? I don't believe the examiner could determine how she died either...
To: marajade
Was Chandra murdered? Most likely.
It seems to me there's more presentable circumstantial evidence linking Condit to Chandra, than presented in CA versus Westerfield. Yet politically it was correct to try and fry Westerfield, while providing Condit and his whole family a pensionaire's endless bucket of fried chicken.
Think Condit will kill again?

Really? What evidence was that?

Can only say what the tabloids have reported, and the less reliable major nes outlets as well. You've seen it, no?

"
I believe Danielle died in her own bed. That is why her PJ's were laying on the floor... If some one took her with other PJ's on, wouldn't they think to get rid of all the clothes not just Danielle's but their own too. The Van Dam's were so high and/or drunk they could not have been thinking straight. I think they invited some one home that night and now have to cover themselves... Do you think their life style would be questioned a lot more if that were the case? They would be in big trouble... they know this.... I do not believe David Westerfield killed Danielle.. You can't put him in the house, but some one else was there, find the owner of the prints and DNA you have your killer.. "
Gosh, you've covered or summarized EVERYTHING, all the allegations/key points from the "other side" from the past 6 months. A key point to remember here is the pj's on the floor were from a different night. The ones she wore to bed were never recovered. I can only imagine their condition if they were found. :( As far as the rest of your comments...I completely understand your position. But unfortunately, according to the bar attendees, they did not see the van dams leave with strangers, the other 4 people folks would have to be in on the conspiracy...and even if there were..all the evidence pointed to DW. I think the parents partying was downplayed by the good points in their lives. I hate it that the good stuff about the family wasn't brought out until after the guilty verdict. Also, don't forget the new revelation..the one that says "dw was minutes away from coping a deal for life"..

So you think there's more substance to your argument that Condit murdered Chandra Levy based on Tabloids vs. evidence presented in a jury trial in relation to Westerfield?
Okie dokie...

That's a possibility. Okie dokie.

"For whatever it's worth, I would want to know how a single spot on a jacket, supposedly produced by a bloody murder, could have been there by guilty means."Well a murder obviously doesn't have to be a bloody one. Seriously, in the little contact they were together, there is no way in heck that the blood could have gotten UP there on the collar of a 6 foot guy by innocent means. No testimony indicated he laid the jacket outside, on the ground where a group of kids could have "tromped on it" or "dripped two drops of blood" on it. Also, isn't it interesting this his blood AND her blood were in the same areas... lastly, there is no innocent explanation for the drop of blood in teh MH by the 'bathroom'.

"That's a possibility."
Do you actually believe that your argument will stand?

You're showing evidence of being a drooling moron. . . . BTW, your Heaven bit is just as stupid as the rest of your comments . . . .
Just thought I would repeat these portions of your post for you. They were intermingled with references to religion, curiously enough. Fascinating.

I didn't think of that. I guess the waiting period leaves time for appeals then if someone truly is innocent and on death row. But then, how long should we wait? How long should be given for appeals and such?

"I don't think anybody who lives in Missouri... the state that elected a dead man " Iickk..... it's so embarrassing... I think every state has at least one embarrassing politician -- my state has Hillary as a senator, Texas has Sheila Jackson-Lee as a congressman, Florida has Robert Wexler...

The cause of Danielle's death in indeterminate, yet on circumstance the ME ruled it homicide -- yet that does NOT mean a murder beyond a reasonable doubt, and Danielle may have died -- within the extends of reasonability -- either accidentally or by some strange natural cause. It would be "unreasonable doubt" *not* to think she was murdered. And I don't seem to remember the defense saying that she wasn't murdered.
A murder conviction requires proof of that murder beyond any reasonable doubt, and that is not had here in the case of Danielle van Dam, in my opinion formed by having had closely followed this case since January.
Wow, you followed it since before it happened? (Sorry, I couldn't resist!) ;0

But then, how long should we wait? How long should be given for appeals and such? AH, now that is the real question. When is enough enough? I agree that a lot of frivolous groundless appeals occur on death row, and courts should toss them out as meritless, and many times do.
I agree a confessed and admitted serial killer should not sit on death row for 20 years. But they cannot set the standard for all. I guess the question one has to ask is, if you were the one falsely convicted, what time frame would you desire?
I am an adamant supporter of capital punishment, but it is morally imperative that in cases where death is the punishment we are as close to absolutely sure as we can be. We cannot be callous with this punishment.. there is no take back or apology that can be offered if we find out we got it wrong.
I guess the answer is, I really don't know what the time frame should be. I do agree that when the killer is obvious and admitted, there is no good reason for them not to be executed swiftly, but in cases where it is not as cut and dry caution is a wiser path.

You don't know if the PJ's on the floor were from the nite before...They could have met some one in the parking lot while smoking dope....
Just because Van Dam's say so doesn't make it so....
As far as the plea. bargain that was talked about Feb,28th,
No new news here.....

I'm curious as to what you think about that story. I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about this story. It is unsettling to say the least.
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
No testimony put the (loose) jacket on the Van Dam property either, but I didn't see that excluded, and it seemed uncomfortably possible given the way David and the van Dams cavorted. I wouldn't even rule out the event happening in David's motor home but somebody else did the deed. This case is, and remains, a Rorschach test until we get something blatant such as a confession (from David or from someone else) or an eyewitness.
