Save Dave folks

I don't consider myself a "save dave folk", but it appears the "hang 'em" guys rely on alot of rhetoric. BTW, bite me.

The cause of death was established by the coroner and testified to under oath --- HOMICIDE. It's on the death certificate too.

Oh, but don't you see, the coroner's in on the conspiracy as well? Bmv says there's reasonable doubt that she wasn't murdered, and that's good enough for me. (/sarcasm off)

What allowed this to happen was a sick sadist named Westerfield! Make no mistake about that!

No one suggests the Van Dams actions that night were anything representing responsible behavior. That does not in the least dimission the reason this happened was a sick sadistic bastard named Westerfield decided a 7 year old girl was his sexual play thing, and used killed and dumped like roadkill.

Lapses in judgement occur, had the Van Dams not investigated the alarm because they fell immediately to sleep that evening would you be so vehement in your zeal? Elizabeth smarts father left the garage open all night, and his child disappeared.. should his children be removed?

I agree that their actions that night were highly lapsed, but that does not in the least make them responsible for the actions of Westerfield, no more than the rape victim is at fault because she didn't lock her door that night.

There is no evidence that the parents actions contributed to their daughters disappearance. If they had checked the alarm and found she was missing that night would she have been found alive? Perhaps, or perhaps not.. you cannot know. The culprit here is Westerfield, a sick, sadistic evil bastard.

I would not engage in the activity they did that night, but you are drawing incredible indefensible conclusions trying to argue their children should be taken from them, IMHO. Had they VD's been busy having crazy monkey sex with no one else around and didn't hear anything would you be calling for their children to be removed?

Westerfield is the reason that little girl is dead, pure and simple, your suggestion otherwise if repugnant.

Geez, what's more offensive, calling pro-Westerfield posters "save dave folk," or calling anti-Westerfield people "slut jackals"? I guess for somebody who considers "bite me" a witty retort, it's a tough choice.

I usually post to threads on FR to debate, however these threads have degenerated into nothing but a bunch of adjectives strung together and rhetoric to blur the facts surrounding this issue...

See ya, I prefer debating with rational adults.

Sorry you don't feel me and the others you addressed as worth your time ...

I honestly don't know where you get this idea; why would I spend all that time typing what I did if I didn't think you were worth my time? Just to put your mind at ease, I didn't think you were one of the "minority" (as I put it) that responded with "knee jerk reflexes" rather than honest, intelligent thought. Other than that I don't know why you think I think you're not "worth my time".

Thanks for the input; I guess we're just going to have to agree to disagree because I have yet to hear any convincing argument. Don't take that personally though, please.

As for a dead body not being able to commit another crime... that's MY point!!!

And others' point/argument. But if you want recognition for it, ok: Woo woo, way to go! < thumbs up >

How do you account for the lack of body fluids beneath the body

She died elsewhere and then moved to Deshau location, otherwise there should be residue of the approx. 5 gallons of fluids in the soil beneath the body.

Remember, the ME agreed it was mummified, and so did the bug guy from columbia missouri. No one denied it...

And neither do I. What I question is the idea that the mummification somehow starts in under 24 hours, preventing the blo-flies from laying; Things a blo-fly normally do within 20 minutes - hour.

If she was exposed from the gitgo, the body would be infested with the cheese-skipper flies and beetles, after the first generation of blo-flies would have moved on. The dehydration and mummification would come later.

Instead they found 1st generation blo-flies, 1 cheese-skipper IIRC, and no beetles.

See ya, I prefer debating with rational adults.

You have to be one, before you can debate with one dem. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

If you care about debating facts, I suggest you read todays papers regarding Westerfield's innocence.

I see -- I guess not everybody was impressed with your scintillating repartee, such as "bite me." As for your pointless comment, "This from the land of Hillary," I don't think anybody who lives in Missouri, the state that elected a dead man to the Senate, should cast aspersions on a fellow poster based on where he/she lives.

In other words the coroner guessed it was Homicide. The only evidence he had to so guess was that there was no cause he could discern, yet circumstance -- the body being found in the desert after having been reported missing, made it a reasonble guess, but not beyond a reasonable doubt -- for in fact, absent direct evidence or witness to murder, it was only a guess.

Your mode of discussion seems to be to put words in other's mouths and then proceeed to twaddle and twerk for words never said except by yourself. We can all see that you are very practised in talking to yourself, but what besides a the lark of a jester do you add to the thread?

"What I question is the idea that the mummification somehow starts in under 24 hours, "

Since the bug guys couldn't address the mummification issue, I have no doubts that your questions have gone unanswered. The bug guys couldn't deviate from "their norm" cuz they weren't qualified to, IMHO. Their norm, was studying the life cycles of bugs on bodies who were not in the condition that danielle's body was in.

Good to see you here, Virago.

I suppose the Save-Dave crowd thinks it was not murder because it may have been suicide. UH-HUH!

b.s.

No evidence or history of organic disease or defect rules out natural causes - period.

That leaves accident and homicide. And a decision for one or the other will be made on circumstances of disappearance and finding of the body. There is plenty of physical/circumstantial evidence of homicide (nakedness/hair clenched in hand/distance from home/reported missing), but there is not one scintalla of evidence either physical or circumstantial to indicate an accident of any type.

It was not a guess, but a rational, intelligent decision that a seven year old girl did not die of accidental suffocation, naked, 25 miles from home.

Your claims of reasonable doubt and guessing on this issue are just plain nuts and irrational.

Wanna bet that one of these loony ladies from Missouri will propose marriage (jailhouse style) to Westerfield before the year is out?

The first guy, Faulkner, lives in the area. And since he'd been on the prosecution side in 196 cases, I suspect he would have encountered the mumification / bug issue before.

They weren't qualified in terms of a formal university degree, but the one fellow who had such a degree --has her dead on January 15th.
