In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good morning, Miss Bella.
My brain is experiencing a major case of desuetude this morning. Myself and some of my classmates stayed WAY too late after school yesterday!!!

One of three to Rush for a Thousand yards in Each of his first Seven Seasons, and More Carries per Season on Average than anyone.
And has only missed ONE GAME, Since becoming a Jet (60 games)
He makes other backs look like sissies.

But Mayor Marta Casiraghi told Il Nuovo website: "I have noticed the girl sunbathing topless myself, and I understand that our women might feel threatened by her beauty. "Having said that, I really can't do anything on an official basis, as sunbathing topless is largely tolerated nowadays, and is also nothing that should worry the local municipality.
"I should rather advise my fellow female citizens to be more sexy, so that they won't feel threatened by anything."
Mayor Marta sounds kind of sappho to me, actually! no wonder my women neighbors are so stand-offish with me.....

Now in a state of desuetude
The
Florida voters may be sued.
Reno wants her votes
On the tally totes
So Jeb can then beat her rude.
Of course, when I first saw the word I thought it would be pronounced de.suet.ude and thought the meaning would be "the better bearing of a fat head after accepting the truth."

I did some checking and Pittsburg is one of the names they keep throwing around (to add more east coast presence & to add a natural Penn State rivalry). Notre Dame & the Big 10 keep dancing around & then ND pulls back out at the last minute due to losing too many TV $$$. Penn State was a good addition & (I'm a little biased here) helped to make the Big 10 one of the best (if not the best) conference in the nation for football.

i agree, but there are always going to be people incapable of having a civil disagreement, and lack the maturity to just STOP and leave it along. drag that they came into our classroom though.
i have to say i do have a mental image of the bunch of us just sitting around some desks with a chalkboard, talking amongst ourselves, but as miss rika always said there are TONS of NOSES pressed to the windows, and it is easy to forget that.

Where i am from, WVU, Penn State, Pitt and ND were the natural choices for college. So i had HS friends that went to all of them. ND is obnoxious beyond belief with the God is on our side, etc crap (Sorry sea!) Penn State was a good rivalry. We always played them T-giving weekend, and it was always a good game.

Good point made by Miss Rika......I hadn't really thought about it like that......... if all those noses are pressed against the windows, I guess we better start wearing panties.......lol Oops, what I meant to say was, we better start behaving........

it is pretty horrifying if you dwell on it, we try not to think of it too much. and you just CANNOT make me wear panties. as a former Catholic schoolgirl, i wear black patent leather shoes and they truly reflect up, i don't want the boys seeing my panties....!

Ty Law, Teddy Bruschi, and Lawyer Malloy are going to rip this traitor's head off on Sunday. Deal with it.

Homework - sorry no link, listening to it on TV:
Kofi Annan's brain must be in a permanent state of desuetude, to have the absolute gall to stand in New York City and say that global concerns must be our capitol's concerns.
Give me a break - the guy all but said to the general council for htem to ignore what ever the President is going to say coming up in the next few minutes.
Get the UN out of the US - and the US out of the UN.
sorry for my rant - he just torqued me off.
