I often find myself asking what I would have done if I were on Flight 93. Considering what was at stake, I don't think I could have done anything different that what the brave passengers and crew of that aircraft performed that day.

Congress has authorized a memorial for the crash site. They are still determining what form it should take.

This is a photo I have not seen before. It is on the Staten Island Ferry and is captioned thus: "On the Staten Island ferry, the towers "reappear" on the city's skyline. It's just an illusion, a pair of glass doors reflected in a window."

Fox just played a gripping interview with a Mr. Morrelli, who was working in the basement of the WTC as a maintenance crewman. He spoke of fieballs coming down the elevator shaft, elevators dropping left and right, screams of people in the elevators suddenly cut off ("You knew somebody had just died on the other side of that wall.") and running out of the building thinking it was the end of the world.

A report we heard on the radio said the small town, and all its volunteers there, had come to accept its new place in history, the visitors, the mourners....

The name change caused me a bit of panic last night. I tried to ping OneidaM to a thread and the system wouldn't take your name ....... YIKES! I double-checked the spelling and punctuation and it was ok.
