The NE article also said that the FBI informer reported that there was no Ricci DNA in the jeep or the Smart home, and even though he was a career criminal, child abuse or molestation was not on his rap sheet.

Went on to say that Angela passed the lie detector test, but at least one polygraph test taken by a member of the Smart family came up inconclusive.

One person stated that "this case stinks." That either Mary Katherine saw Ricci or she didn't. It's open and shut. The police had the wrong guy. And they better deal with the fact there's someone out there who took Elizabeth!

Thanks, lakey. I had heard this, too, but haven't yet bought a copy of the NE.

No Ricci DNA in the jeep? I guess that's not too surprising, since apparently just about everyone except Richard Ricci went roaring around in that jeep.

Thanks for the NE summary, anyway. If that's all, I hardly think they should have made its headline "Utah Girl Mystery Solved!" I'm sorry you lost the $2 bucks or so. Next time, do what I do: read it in the checkout line. You get a really annoyed look from the people around you, but you don't feel nearly as disappointed when you're through with the article.

I have been thinking lately that while Ricci was certainly involved he may not have been the man who entered the Smart home. Whoever entered the house needed access (a key) and the layout. Richards refusal to account for the Jeep, the man who picked him up, and his removal of the sear covers certainly looks bad. His wife continuing to lie about the Jeep also doesn't paint a nice picture. I hope we find out soon what LE knows.

Is there ever some way someone can see without really seeing? I do it quite often in football. That instant replay catches me all of the time! LOL
