What smoking gun?

Yesterday, in response to Liberal opposition to a forced regieme-change in Iraq, National Security Advisor Condaleeza Rice said that there is always uncertainty and that, "We don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud".
My response is - Why not!
My reasoning is as follows:- A WMD would most likely be used against an urban area. After all, who'd want to waste a nuke on a farm in Nebraska.
- A high percentage of urban residents are - Liberals!!
- Therefore, most, if not all the casualties would be - Liberals!
- Let's imagine that a nuke in NYC, LA, Atlanta, DC, or Chicago wiped out a million people - 80% of whom would be Liberals. Subtract 800000 Liberals and 200000 incidental Conservatives. That's 600000 more Liberals x'ed out. There goes Al Gore's so called 500000 vote margin.
- If the target was NYC - Boom! There goes the liberal media establishment. The UN would be a bonus.
- If the target's Atlanta, Bye! Bye! CNN.
- Target LA! Boom! No more Hollywood.
- DC! Scratch three locked Democrat Electoral Votes.
- Chicago! The Republicans take over the whole state - just like the good old days.
- Miami-Dade! No need for endless recounts anymore!
- Well, you get the idea! We trade a few million Liberals for a few million Iraquis. It could actually be a win/win situation.
One more thing, we could all say "Nyaa, Nyaa, We told you so! We should have spent more on the military." to the surviving "Nouveau-Hawk Liberals".

A "Modest Proposal" in the truest sense.

Yeah, very funny. Lose New York, lose the national financial system. Lose Chicago, lose O'hare, the grain & ore barge link between Great Lakes and the Mississippi, and the railways that link the whole country run right through there.
Let's not.

The point that I'm trying to make is this. I can't understand why the Libs are so opposed to a strong military. In attacks on our urban centers, entire liberal constituencies will be annihilated.

Lose Chicago, lose O'HareThat's the best argument I've heard for the third (Peotone) airport.

Oh, it truly is.
Well before the first WTC bombing, I had purchased a few cases (not enough) of NATO N.B.C. gas masks...made in Germany...with Hebrew instructions...sold most to buds in NYPD...along with a few other interesting items...bomb disposal vests...armor, actually..lots (not enough) of nice things...and recall watching the Chernobil map on tv...strangely calm, remembering what I had in my bottom, dresser drawer. They called me crazy. As a very, very little boy, my mother taught me that "when you're right...stick to your guns." I was right (oh God), and am deeply happy that my beautiful country is wising up, by degrees.
Please don't oppugn me because I'm currently cosmopolitan. I'll be moving to L.A. soon, so should be much safer and surrounded by wise and reasonable people...right?
(I expect my FR sisters and brothers will wrap their hands around me there...and we'll all row together. Safety in numbers, don't you know)
Let Freedom...and AMERICA ring ! (wear hearing protection when appropriate)

smoking gun?
What would constitute a 'smoking gun' to a country that couldn't convict OJ Simpson?
